the original 1923-2008 yankee stadium was firsty. then they built the new one across the street. not sure what they built or are building on the old site. perhaps an apartment complex, park or youth baseball field.

Nice pic Cantona. Looks alot more what a baseball stadium should be! Rogers Centre just doesnt have that feel to it.

Did you ever go to a game in the Kingdome?

yesir i did. many games at the old dome. and although i actually miss it it was a shit stadium! horrible sitelines. she had character though. super loud when the crowd got going. iv got a piece of the kingdome from after they blew her up in my dresser.

on the topic of rogers centre/skydome..i remember vaguely when it opened back in 89. it was state of the art and i wanted to visit it so bad. still would like to catch an m's game there from one of those field view hotel rooms.

Ya that Kingdome could get pretty loud huh? Remember Griffey sliding into home plate in extra innings to knock out the Yankees i think in the Wild Card a long time ago. It looked like the roof was gonna pop off.

Ya the Skydome was hot for about 5 years after they built it (1989-1994). Selling out every game. Then the strike happened, the team started sucking after 2 World Series titles and you were lucky to get 15 to 20 thousand in the stadium for a ballgame. When the crowd is under 20 thousand its a pretty bad atmosphere in there. With enough people in the stands though it is a nice place to watch a ballgame.

You can bring your own food into the stadium now which is pretty cool since the prices like at every other stadium are pretty outrageous.

If your ever in Toronto during baseball season PM me, i would be more than happy to show you around.

The selection of goods isnt as wide as what im sure your used to but the quality is pretty good.

yea game 5 1995 alds. didn't go to any playoff games that year. but watched that game with my brother and dad on the couch. could barely watch when it got into those late innings. was an awesome series though!

did go to 1 playoff game in 1997 vs baltimore at the dome though.

Sounds good Cantona.

If you do watch a game here you gotta make sure Brendan Morrow is pitching so you can boo his ass.

LOL, it seems like Mariners Fans never let him forget it.

Hey you got Brandon League atleast.

Man can you imagine King Felix, Lincecum and now Pineda as your top 3 starters!? Playing 81 games at Safeco Field too! Wow that would be elite shit right there.
