i've never tryed any sort of ice, im more of a herb man, but 50 euro seems very steep. i may be talking out of my arse, but theres only so high you can get, or does this stuff take you to another planet?

brilliant atmosphere, great staff and i ought a pre rolled joint been azy not exspecting much, had 2 tokes and felt like my legs gave way had to sit there zoned with my orange juice lmao

They have different versions of WaterWorks. On different occasions, I have tried three of them, only one of which I was impressed by. And I have tried pricey ice hash from other shops as well - and wasn't impressed.

Violator Iceolator from Barneys won 1st place for Nederhash in the 2007 Cannabis Cup. That cost 60 Euro. See what smokersguide.com says about it: "incredibly cerebral and often left me forgetting if I was stoned…. or what!?!" Does that sound like an endorsement?

The ice hash I pick up in the US for $15 USD is just as good.

I don't buy hash in Amsterdam anymore -- I find that the best Amsterdam weed is always better, and a hell of a lot cheaper. My recommendation for you is: if you've never had it, try it once. I would recommend one gram of the best (and most expensive) WaterWorks on the Dampkring menu.

Visited last week tried their Bubblegum 10.50E - not great. Too much hussle and bussle to relax and three people tried to scab fags off me within about 10 minutes just cos I'd left my packet on the table while I was skinning up.

I dont recall having liked this place at all as such. Which sort of disapoited since it had been on a list of coffeeshops to visit a number of times in the past.

In fact it was not untill the third night of the last trip I realised that upon walking in that we had in fact been in there the night before!!!. If a place can be like that then for me it is nothing special that could be easily forgotton!.

I'm not so much saying it was crap, it has just not had ANY lasting memory on me. For which pretty much every other coffeeshop has.

I have never posted a review on this shop before, but I visited it for the first time this past new year when I was in Amsterdam with 6 other friends.

I wasn't that disappointed with the Lavender I bought, but i've had better to be honest - the hash was a lot nicer (although I can't remember the name). But it was a good place to sit on the top floor and have some pineapple juice....in the bar side of the floor when a football match was being shown on the tv.
The pool hall area was also pretty good I thought as the 6 of use hired 2 tables next to each other and had a good time for a couple of hours. You also pay (or did then at least) for the table based on the time you are there rather than per game....which I preferred and it turned out very cheap I thought, unless they undercharged us by mistake.

But overall for a place to play pool I would certainly go back, but as a place to just sit around and smoke or chill out then I would probably go to other places nearby instead.

got lost looking for it this year and got lost inside looking for budtender(i must of been very high)we couldnt find it at first cause they giving the outside a face lift and we keap walking by it and saying it should be here!well it was!

Sorry, but I really did not like this place at all. Not my cup of tea, but it must appeal to some other crowd. They had a good deal on super polm (25e/5g) but it was out, or the deal was no longer in effect, alltough the menu still had the offer showing.
The place itself was like a run down diner. Staff was pretty nice so if you like sports and loud music, this might be the place for you.

No tobacco inside.

I'll probably give this place another go on my next trip as I'd forgot they have an upstairs with the pool tables lol. And to be honest I've not liked a lot of the tables I've played on in Dam over the years. So will prob try to re-rate it on my next trip as I do recall the menu looking quite good varaity wise!.

liked prix d'ami. good menu. nice vibe and seating. lots of pool tables and what looks to be a big screen up stairs. id imagine it would be a good place to smoke and watch the football.

I've Been traveling to Holland for the last 20 years and decided to find out what is THE BEST COFFEE SHOP to offer that would what I need to enjoy a good buzz(Atmosphere,excellent service, a menu that could offer almost everything I was looking for: to make it short,the perfect chill spot!!) I printed out the Amsterdam Coffeeshop Dir. map and started out. My buddy and I started at Route 99 at 10 o'clock in the morning and ended at Prix D'Ami at 9 o'clock that evening. We checked out the Grasshoppers ,Abraxas (I still don't understand why no hats are allowed but sunglasses???), The Bulldog Flagship , The Bushdocters , Smokeys Balou ,Reefer ,Rusland ,Old Church , Central , and finally Prix D'Ami which was able to offer all that what I was looking for the whole day!!!!
The TV's were well positioned, the service at the bar was very friendly, and the Menu was mind boggling. I even asked some advice from THE MAN about the difference between bubble gum and CHEESE( a sort I never tried before). The advice concerning the CHEESE was 100%, and I know in the future, for me and my friends, the Prix D'Ami is the place to be

I totally agree with you Am Dad. I just love this coffeeshop.

I see a lot of you guys liked this place but i cant for the life of me see why. As soon as me and my girlfriend entered the place we were greeted by this guy and woman who obviously were arguing as you could cut the tension with a knife. I gives it the benefit if the doubt and goes on in to find that there range of grass and hash is next to none. So as i go to ask about the menu the guy completely blanks me goes up stairs. I just walked out after that and found a perfectly good coffee shop called route 99 directly in front of me
