Good luck with the new shop. Sounds like exciting things are going to happen at Utopia. Will definitely check them out next visit. What are the plans for the hotel?
How much did you produce?

Re: Utopia
Hey folks,
I've been reminded today that I should be a bit more circumspect in what I say to avoid getting into trouble for advertising, I may have to go back and do some editing to change stuff into the third person. For the meantime assume that anywhere above that says "I" it actually says "he" and wherever it says "we" or "us" it means "they" and "them". cheers!
@hulldj- wednesday is my day off, though I may well be around. opening times are 8.30 till around 11.30, though if it's especially busy the shop can be open till 1am.
@treetop- regarding the hostel there will continue to be clean, basic, affordable accommodation. Be prepared to tackle a proper Dutch staircase! Bookings can be made at hostelworld.com.

Cheers gapie!
Unlikely to make the cut for the new menu:-laughing buddha, snow white, super skunk, pollen, afghan and Lebanese
Possible replacements include:- a tasty cheese, an old school skunk no1, a new maroc and maybe an interesting iceolator.
just speculating, like...

Therefore I think, not much of a point to comment on a menu, which is going to change completely, as I was told
Along with weighting system, which I personally think is even more "good news"
@Boner, this one stays on you, Sir! I look forward to hearing from you.
I hope you guys will keep your word as I will take another punt into "checking on you" in the near future to see how it all worked out.
I it was very nice to speak with you guys (nice "Lady"...and budtender, of course)
...and big THANKS for the coffee! ...and good luck with makeover.

Re: Utopia
@ Boner- initially the plan had been to pass the running of the hotel along to Bob's Youth Hostel so that the coffeeshop could concentrate on the weed alone.
As it turns out, that has not been possible and so both will continue to be run together.
All of the current changes are happening downstairs in the coffee shop as sadly funds are not available for redecorating upstairs.
While the hostel probably could use a lick of paint, it remains a clean, basic and relatively cheap option for the budget traveller. Prices are best during the week with friday and saturday seeing an increase in rates.
Hope this info is useful and hope you can come and see the changes that are happening.
cheers

How's it going man, good to hear about this place.. I'll be sure to pop in to see what's what... Out of curiosity what are the prices for the hostel for both weekdays/weekends? Also I'll be in Amsterdam this Tuesday...will the coffeeshop be open?? I'm curious to see the new menu.. Is the weed/hash still pre-bagged though??nel z bub wrote:@ Boner- initially the plan had been to pass the running of the hotel along to Bob's Youth Hostel so that the coffeeshop could concentrate on the weed alone.
