I like that Albatross track by Fleetwood Mac, an original for sure. My Playlist at work so far:
St. Pancras - Underworld
Rock It Tonight - Seven Dub
Words Of Advice - Material w/William Burroughs
Fantino - Sebastian Tellier
Abermorgen - Andreas Dorau & Justus Koehncke
Dog Days - Matthew Dear

The Arcade Fire! --the best band in the last five years in all genres...my opinion of course.
Boards of Canada --In my opinion, the best band from Scotland...ever!
Modest Mouse, one of my favorite bands of all time. Their earlier music was a notch above their last two albums, but it's all pretty good.
Radiohead. Amnesiac and Kid A are my favorites.
Gorillaz...amazing
Tool...if you haven't gotten into them start now. Aenima and Lateralus are my favorites
Alice in Chains...excellent sound
The Postal Service
Profuse 23, DJ Shadow, Sigur Ros
Primus--probably the best bassist of all time
anyway, that gives you a good idea of what I've been listening to the last little bit.
peace

That's my problem, too.
And it is really frustrating because I know I would like a lot of what people are listening to now.
What I would like to be able to do is click on the name of a tune and just hear it. I would not mind if I couldn't download it, I just want to be able to hear it. If I liked it, I would go out and buy the album.

Also a couple of webcast shows which often bring me great new tunes:
Radio David Byrne for world/indie/really weiiiiird shit.
Little Steven's Underground Garage for guitar-based rock/punk/allsorts. It's Silvio off of the Sopranos, minus the wig (Steve Van Zandt). He's also Bruce Springsteen's chief guitarist.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I have been sampling some this morning and enjoying.
Sitting here at my computer has made me realise what I really miss ... going to a friend's place, seeing other friends there, being handed a smoke and someone saying "here listen to this you will really like it", smoking, listening, laughing, talking, smoking, laughing, listening, smoking ...
The older I get the more I realise it is people that are the most important thing in life ...
Thanks guys ...
ps I have just ordered Sya by Issa Bagayogo from Amazon

Another option to listen to music before you buy is Myspace, near enough every band out there has a myspace page, if I hear something I usually just google the bands name and click on the myspace link and listen away.
