Finally made the journey here for the first time yesterday, I picked-up:

Haze Scissor-Hash: interesting stuff, I can't tell if it smells looks more like a real charas or actual scissor hash. The smell isn't strong (I'm thinking the pre-bag sale-model, process may take its toll on aroma for both flowers and hasj) in the bag. The taste is meh, like I honestly find most charas to be, the effect however is on of those soaring bleary-eyed buzzes, where you can feel your eyes reddening as you hit it, so quite potent.

Bag-size: 0.6 grams for 10 euros

Appearance: 8/10

Smell: 7/10

Taste: 7.5/10

Effect: 10/10

Value: 7/10

King Hassan - I posted another thread reviewing this. TL;DR? Truly top-shelf Moroccan with an even more top-shelf taste, great stuff. Value for the money factored in, it's my number one Maroc in the Dam right now.

Bag-size: 0.9 grams for 10 euros

Appearance: 9.5/10

Smell: 7/10

Taste: 11/10

Effect: 9.5/10

Value: 10/10


Mango Haze - I had heard so many good things about Katsu's Mango Haze on here, so I opted to pick up a tientje of that as well, but was disappointed it's certainly overpriced at nearly 14.30 euro per gram, and smells/looks honestly like any other lemon/supersilver/amnesia haze type nug. When broken up in grinder my gf did note a more distinct mango aroma however.

Appearance: 8/10

Smell: 8.5/10

Taste: 8/10

Effect: 8/10

Value: 4/10

All in all great shop for Hasj in my opinion, not so much for flower

Who has picked up any of those strains lately and can offer up some feedback?

Does anyone know if they still have the amnesia hyia? It was definitely the best hash I tried in Amsterdam in April and it was a total bargain priced at 10E for 1,2gr.

Its called Amnes Hya and yes they still have it for the same price. Saw it today.

Also heard good things about the scissor hash.

Who's tried the Yellow Leb or Paroc?

Also is the clear crystal some dabbable goods? It looked like it may have been...

Also there was one other nice looking bubble-hash they had that was really black and oily looking...

Mango haze is indeed lovely. 1.4g for $20 doesn't make it cheap and Katsu's weed is all prebagged ofc but it is worth buying imo, got a lovely nug with a sweet hazey smell that made an excellent morning smoke, I really liked it.

Also got some Strawberry Kush which I think was 0.8g for €10, nice smoke and not too expensive.

I love this shop!




Mango Haze: Just as lovely as it was in March. Say no more (check the pics in my travelogue).

Sour OG Kush: Top, top smoke! Felt the hit in the forehead straight away but as strong as it was I felt awesome. If it was still on the menu again I'd rebuy this as well.

Just picked this up yesterday:

Tri Sulu from Katsu, 10 euro bag (0.7 grams); roughly the equivalent of 14.30 euros per gram...

Appearance: 9.2/10, not as black or dark as some other nepal hashes. A lighter brown, very oily/fudgy/sticky/gooey much like the Nepal Pollen from Bluebird, but also their AWP as well. You know that shit that sticks to the bag like a motherfucker the instant the temp cranks itself half a degree above ambient room temp, and leaves hash skid marks on the side of the bag...

Smell: 8.8/10, once again like the Nepal Pollen from BB, or really like any good quality Nepali hash will, that piney, minty, floral, complex aroma that you only find in Nepali and Indian hashes.

Taste: 9.5/10, although I LOVE the unique aroma of Indian and Nepali hashes, I personally don't think they taste as good as Moroccans or even Afghans; however this one is something special nice smooth and sweet flavor with a piney-citrusy aftertaste.

Effect: 9/10, yet again this one offers I clear, uplifting headbuzz, typical of Nepalese hashes, albeit this may be the most potent Nepali charas, I've tried thus far...

Value: 8.4/10, considering that it's almost exactly the same type of hash as Nepal Pollen from Bluebird (i.e. a top-shelf Nepal hand-rub variety), and I think its personally better (consider the Nepal Pollen is sold in 12.50 euro bags of 0.8 grams, do the math...), this hash offers a good value for the CS market of Amsterdam, all things considered

Composite Score: 9/10, highly recommended

Couple of reviews (well 3 )

Dr Grinspoon - better than Amnesia's on this occasion, albeit nothing wrong with Amnesia's. Citrussy in smell, really clean smell, with a knife edge. Taste in a vape translates exactly, surreit wouldn't be far off in a spliff. High was as great as ever, creative, energetic, talkative yet centred. Real top of the head stuff as you'd expect from 100% sativa. Would always recommend this over similar such as Neville's Haze if you get a good batch. 9/10

Nepalese Annap. Pollen - top top drawer hash, best of the trip for me. Beautiful flowery, spicy aroma, smooth like butter taste. Classy but stronger than expected, cerebral but very relaxing, still a high not a stoned but with a body hit too. 8.5/10

Mango Haze - super mango aroma and taste this time, jumped out of the bag. Great strength as always, jumped out of the Verdamper and gave me an arresting mango slap round the face. Even after a little of the two above still cut through and one bowl was enough for a while. For me this is a cut above your Amnesia strength-wise, both with a distinctive flavour. 8.5/10

The strongest and best Sativa sold here was Dr. Grinspoon they told me. It was good and acceptable but not up to Amnesia's standard.

Was in Katsu recently, all was good, good vibe, everyone speaking to each other. Even the owner (I think) was chilling at the back in the aircon. Chilled. Hot day but cool inside.

On the day I was here the Grinspoon was really good, Amnesia's was a bit 'fresh' that day for some reason though usually excellent. Different batches I guess.

You said it like you saw it, no need to delete the post. I've been in one or two coffeeshops where the locals dictate the atmosphere. It's best folks know that they could encounter locals who are not always keen on tourists.

Hey, I ran into the same at Best Friends II. They even played the broken coffee cup game on me. I stood up and said that I would make it right! They had a good laugh; I held up my end and was granted a pass! Bottom line: I left with a menu picture, a nice gram of something Sativa, and a smile of my face! Just another Amsterdam adventure!

If katsu is so unfriendly towards tourists why would they publish an English language version of their menu along side the dutch one?

We did not have any problem when we visited, the staff even showed us how to use the vaporiser

In my thinking interaction is from separate viewpoints. Upon reflection, I would rather rate the weed and let anyone have their own experience of interaction when they visit shops. In other words, it takes two to Tango but the weed is impersonal.
