We were staying close to the GP over Christmas so popped in fairly regularly. Didn't hang around as it was very busy all the time and could be additionally so because of their HTCC win. I'm a big hash man myself so regularly bought Twizzla 2g and Maximellow 5g as well as some Zero Zero 2g. All very good smokes, my wife particularly liked the Twizzla as did I but also loved the Maximellow. Zero Zero good but not quite as i remember it. Twizzla 9.5/10, Maximellow 9.5/10, Zero Zero 8.5/10.

Managed to get some Maximellow home so good start to 2012 for me!

I went in there a few times before I noticed the stairs  think even then it was only cos another ACDer told me about them  couple of televisions up there if memory serves
Thats Funny!, I've been here 7-8 times and even sat for over 2 hours watching football one night and I have never seen an upstairs part or even stairs to one.

was just a misunderstanding in the end, there's only one stair I think to the smoking room in the back

I don't like this place, I always feel intimidated, and the bud tenders are rude. My last visit in November I tried the mog & shoreline but neither really had a taste after a few pulls, and I ended up with a headache. They don't flush correctly, hence why their weed smells but doesn't really taste good, and I found nothing burns how it should. I am avoiding this place in future!

Unfortunately my worst experience of Green Place was also clouded by a rather surly Asian budtender. It was quiet but a polite request to see the Pineapple Haze was met with a tub almost being inserted up my nose while he watched something on YouTube. Trying again I requested to see the Maximellow. He then threw the toy out of the pram and pushed a good lump under my nose while pausing the video. Just to wind him up I asked to see the cheapest hash he had. He pushed a tub of objectionable Nepal forward. I asked for 0.5g please. He showed me the door.

hahaha genius!  did he actually showed you the door? i had some bad experience there as well...

that must be exactly the asian dude that was really rude and not trying to be nice at all the last time I went there.
I wanted 1g of some 15euro weed and he'd gave me 0.6g of some bud that was not in any way lookin nice.
never went in there again, I dont have much more to say, shop was just not my style.

maybe i'll give it a try next time if I see someone else handling the goodies...

This place consistently delivers high quality weed and is a highlight of any Amsterdam trip. Most recently had some mind-bending OG Firestarter Kush and their reliably great Blueberry Cheese. On previous trips I enjoyed the B.Cheese, Amnesia Gold, Strawberry Kush, Pineapple Haze and L.A. Cheese. They're not cheap but they deliver on quality. They usually have a variety of different kush strains. The budtenders I've seen are ok - not the friendliest, but not hostile or difficult either. The shop is nice inside and there's outdoor seating in the summer. It also makes a good grab and go shop on the way to one of the other quality shops nearby, although I don't know how Basjoe's is since it changed ownership.

I think they are nice guys at Greenplace. The shop ticks all the boxes. Has both top shelf and nicely priced products as well. Never had a bad experience really.

Thought they were Moroccan owners or did they sell to Goa group as well?

Never had a problem there and I never had any weed from them that was sub par. Love the Twizzla, too.

Guys, I must disagree with some of you about the asian tender... His name is Chong and at least with me he was always very very very kind and good attention. I must be fair and say this, at least with me one of the best BT.
Plus, their Twizzla is one of the best hashes in Dam! ;)

there was no intention to offend anyone here,
I'm really a laid back person and only requested to see 2 strains, and the hells bells was a real killer i gotta say.
maybe he just had a bad day, we all got these.

i'm gonna stop by in april to see if his mood has enhanced.

I agree entirely with the comments about getting an 'attitude' in this place. Ive scored decent smoke from here before but im no longer prepared to indulge some surly faced git with the social and service skills of a disinterested gibbon. If other patrons did the same, as opposed to brown nosing anywhere that sells them dope, the hint may just get through. No wonder 'shopping' in places like Utopia is a comparative joy.
