True, but they have made more of an impact. But I think the others had far more to say from a societal and political point of view. The Ramones are good for sing alongs ie. I wanna be Sedated. They just never did much for me.

No I don't think punk was MEANT to be anything other than abandoning the cheesy rock music of the time and promoting free expression. But, in my humble opinion, why not turn that angst into something to get people motivated for something positive. [stepping off soapbox ]
