I love this shop, the place is usually quite busy, but that just adds to the atmosphere i guess. Picked up my favourite green of the last trip, - Reclining Buddha, quite citrussy (sp). real nice flavour to it. Also the Nouzla "Rifman Hash" was just quality hash. really soft and pliable. Can be hard to get a seat at times but well worth a visit. Their weed/hash menu is probably the biggest in Amsterdam.

Just read on another forum that a couple guys been sold strains claimed to be say buddhas sister and getting something compleatly different.
this is the second report i have heard of this happening in dampkring/tweedkamer shops.
anyone ellse come across this sort of thing
is it a mistake or policy??

I wasn't overly impressed with Damkring, packed, hot and noisy, full of people thinkin they're cannoisseurs, but they're just scenesters! The weed menu was big, but pretty boring I though, nothing too different. In short, it was OK, but I wouldn't be going back.

i've have to say that i've only ever got my weed and moved on,
it's allways packed when i get there, i the place look's nice and chilled, but im sorry to say i've never hanged out there, i did how ever buy some super silver haze and man that weed was worth the trip on it's own a must buy in my book....peace

i walked into this place and it looked really nice inside but was way to packed out for my liking so i got some hash and left the staff were ignorand aswell but i still like it.

Stopped in here this morning, good coffee and great hash, picked up some NYC Deisel and Morrocan Aisha and also a pure Super Silver haze pre rolled. Great shop, great weed

Hello, I was wondering if de dampkring had the mako haze or if i have to go to tweede kamer to pick it up. I haven't tried it but have heard good comments on it, anyone care to inform me how it is? I was also wondering how the jhon sinclair was and the noor rifman.

last time i wasin de dampkring it was very stressful...i had to wait about 15 min to reach the counter...shop was full of tourists...in the morning!...but the Noor rifmans was worth it...it was the most expensive hash they had but the best marrocon ive ever smoked...but i think the quality between their different riffmans is not too big..they are all excellent

I've only had a seat in here once, but I always pop by for their NYC Diesel, it's really been my staple there.

I do enjoy visiting the Dampkring. Everytime I have been in there I have met some very interesting people while I have a beer. Some comments:
Dampkring and 2e Kamer have the same menu, but I always prefer to pick up my gear at 2e instead - better environment for evaluating and selecting, IMO.
I generally view Dampkring more as a drinking/social bar where people can and do smoke cannabis. It can get crowded and boisterous.
Dampkring has some weird-looking decoration.
They have a door bouncer, but he seemed friendly enough.

Too crowded (what good place isn't in Amsterdam?) but I like it.

I like the Oceans 12 pics on the wall, don't think they overplay it too much.

Do they still have souvenir menus???

Stopped in to Dampkring last week, went in the morning and found it to be not too busy. Had time to speak to the budtender about the weed and had a look at a few different strains. The NYC Diesel (E9/g) smelt amazing, so I grabbed a gram, an Orange Juice from the bar, and pulled up a chair to have a smoke.

I have only been here when it has been really busy before, so it was nice to be able to smoke and listen to some nice chilled out beats without the usual hectic noisy vibe in here.

I like this place. It has new school sensibilities and is cool enough for a trend setter like me to get completely blazoid in

I wanted to visit the great DampKring, but the second we got through the door, a lady started yelling no hats...This phrase always sets off my redneck husband. Rednecks like hats, they do not like being told to take them off. I removed mine, but he was out the door. I assume it is part of a security issue, since all the coffee shops seem to be filming the doors and alleys, but we never encountered the hat problem at any other shop. It's cold in Amsterdam, you need a hat for warmth. Yeah, I know it's warm in April (reasonably warm for Amsterdam) but I'm from Florida. We have different ideas on warmth here.
