in my experience, i can t say nothing bad about the weed that is in a top level,
but the fuckin yankee budtender is very rude..
in my last visit sad me something like "keep stay high and give me money".. like i can t understand english..
i think now is becoming a tourist trap..
you can find also good buds in other places..
nothing special..

I was really looking forward to trying the "Golden Soles" as it had been highly recommended... I must say that in comparison to the hash available at the Green Place it was somewhat of a disappointment. I'm not saying it's bad, but i was expecting something a little more potent.

Max Mello & Twizla @ TGP were the stars of the trip!

Amsterdam Ganja is a joke. It is illegal to grow indoor in the Netherlands, so all of the coffeeshops buy from underground sources. This leaves a lot of room for bad weed to get into coffeeshops because many people TRY to grow weed, but very few actually can turn out a good product! I looked at a few different varieties from Grey Area. One clearly had mite damage, and another had signs of Botrytis. For the average idiot who is just excited to be able to choose weed off a menu, Amsterdam is great, but if you know a thing or two about bud, and really know good herb, Amsterdam will more likely than be a disappointment. I did find one variety: Recon that was grown pretty well. Smoked nice, tasted nice, very potent. Grey Area like all Coffeeshops is hit and miss, because the source for the herb changes.

Very nice first post sir well done  ! Do you think that if a dispensary in the US has a bad batch they will throw it away and not sell it? For every questionable sample of bud you find in the Dam there are lots that are outstanding so calling all ganja in the dam a joke is an over-generalization. In the 9 years I have been smoking in legal and illegal situations I have never had a trully spotless contact that didn't give me a bad batch some time. It is the same with other stuff. Wine produced in different years has different qualities but you don't see the winery close when the quality is a bit "iffy".

Why do you think there's hundreds of posts advising you to have a look at the tubs before you buy it? You get good and bad batches of weed in most shops.

after the last few trips i have been a bit dubious about using grey area again because the product has been below par for the usual high standards this place has. but let me tell you grey area has gone strait back up in my opinion, got the casey jones (best smoke by far) silver bubble, l.a woman (?) and candy kush last week and all of them were top notch smokes. casey jones was so nice i bought another 8g to smoke at home
