Second that Niqa, we had it a month ago and it is very nice..! Smooth but quite strong with a classic moroccan profile but more sticky than the traditional types...

I did try the Niqa as well, and still have some at home, the batch I tried last June was nice, I think in order of potency was not as strong as the super Tbisla, more like the habibi and royal but more expensive sadly, but what I can say is that I do not regret the purchase because it is different, more spicy / Stoney.

Again my opinion is only on the batch of June, as it is not regulated, nothing guarantees my very subjective appreciations.

The Niqa I have is dark brown, kind of soft but not sticky and very hard at fridge temperature, a very complex candied citrus smell when burning with a peppery and leather taste when smoking and more on the Stoney effect, the smell at cold is like breadfruit and very musky.

I am not sure but I think it is what they call Khardalla in Marocco, from Afghan/ Pakistan strains.

Anyway, might be a bit overpriced regarding the potency compared to other 10 euro per gram but I do much like to have different hash, do not be afraid, it is great quality old school hash anyway.

But do not get me wrong, I did purchase their Malana cream in June, at 22 euro, this was a real miss, so bad, 8 euro maybe would have been ok for me for day time...



Last year July 2015 I did buy the Nepalese hash at 22 euro the gram and it was amazing hash, I was very impressed and believe me, I am a connoisseur.

I forgot to add a very important point, I do smoke only hash, I did not try their weed.

Completely agree, was about to suggest Asian genetics! Maybe the spelling is off but also think it is a Ghardella or what it is called... Think the batch we had was more oxidized and thus more a deep dark brown.

By sticky mean stickier than the land race based (biladi?) Classic moroccans that are much more loose and as someone else said like wet sand when broken up.

Yes exactly, it is definitely not a pollen, I think the spelling guardella is wrong, but you are right about biladi, the kind of blond hash called pollen which get grey when oxidation instead of black, right ? Less pressed, often loosed, crumbly.

That's it, although in our experience the good quality ones usually oxidizes to a darker brown and some of the really top quality ones tend to have almost yellow or redish streaks of somewhat oily patches in them

Yes, I do especially love when the hash takes some shining reddish colors, this is my HAYA.

By the way had this Habibi Rouge in the beginning of this year and thought it was a nice enough sweet tasting moroccan of classic genetics.
This 'Gerdella'(sp)I have seen several Batches of like darker(enjoying this at home at the minute)or blonde more creamy ones. Indeed it seems to be a description for Afghan/Paki with moroccan landrace mixed in but not too sure about the name not also used for other grades not being of classic descendent.

Also agree about having variation! Part of the fun!

Great place and great location, the menu is decent and the ambience is welcoming, this is the kind of coffeeshop you will want to sit down and have a drink (nice and warm friendly feeling) whilst making friends with the in-house cat. Can get busy at times, it's situated close to a main shopping street.

Please forgive this absolutely stupid question.... but....

would i be correct in saying Dampkring on Haarlemerstraat has the same stock as Dampkring 1?

....could be wrong here, but actually do not think that they do... Might be imagining this, but seem to remeber something about tweede and dampkring 2 being connected, but not dampkring original... Maybe one of the locals can clear it up?

I'm sure someone will be along with the gossip forthwith - but CC is right; they're now connected only in name and the menu is different at both stores.

Dampkring#2 and Tweede Kammer have the same menu and are also connected to the Boerejongens Coffeeshop chain... that´s why Tweede and Dampkring#2 also sell some block hashes and some of their offered weed is the same as in Boerejongens.

The Dampkring#1 has a different menu than the other shops and a different owner...
