I'm counting about 7 strains there. It seems like you didn't mind their weed if you went back that many times?pengaldinho wrote:I'd like to change my vote to no. Sour Cream in 06 was amazing and loads of others but last two trips ive looked at half the menu, bought 3/5g and been very disappointed especially when paying up to E16.50 per g. This trip silver bubble was very harsh, exodus cheese looked and smelt terrible, as did the ecsd, headband and something else. Golden haze E11.50 was ok but nothing special. Quaze was quaze and Chocolope had a nice tang but no high. Before it was my must go to shop, not any more.

Re: Grey Area
I went once this trip, waited fooking ages aswell. I said show me your best strains and I wasn’t overly impressed by anything I smelt but went for the Quzae, golden haze, Chocolope. My mate got the sliver bubble. All mid range bud at top prices. On my trip before this one I got Recon E13, X18 E16, C13 Haze E13, Silver Bubble were not worth the money. Sour D E15 was shit, bland as hell and the KC Jones was the best thing but still wasn’t amazing. I will give them one last try next trip and if its all crappy they will go on the 'don’t buy from list' along with Smokeys, Greenhouse, Barneys, etc.Slip & Sal wrote:I'm counting about 7 strains there. Top floor of anyway overlooking the hoes is better if you must
Seriously teasing aside I've had years where I felt they were losing their grip back in the days when they specialised in bio and then would go back a year later and whallop they would have a whole bunch of new strains - slowly slowly catchy monkey

Re: Grey Area
Exodus Chees: nothing special lacks in the tast and buzz.
Shakzilla: looks nice and frosty really nice high but found a seed in a bud mhh......
Grey berry: nothing special also not great taste and high
La Woman: looks nice fat dense nugs with a lite lemon smell. the effects are not really great on this bud.
Grey Crystals: Really nice unpressed silver bubble skuff good like always
this time im really dissapontet from the grey area. On my last 6 trips they had always something on the menu what impressed me soo much like the Og 18, La con, Og skuff, casey jones and the list can go one. I hope wehen i next time visit the grey area they had some top notch stuff on their menu like the times before!

Re: Grey Area
I remember a few years back smoking grey haze from here and it was excellent, both me and my mate commented on how well cured the bud was and the high was very trippy. Two years on I had the same strain and it wasn't half as good. Bit of a dissapointment really. So I'm hoping when I get to smoke some again in april it will be as good as the first time I had it.
Next trip 1st August 2015. 2 weeks camping/putting my feet up.

Re: Grey Area
Popped in here once again - while I have no complaints, I have yet to be blown away as such, and from previous experiences I was waiting for something of the sort.
I bought 3,5g of GreyBerry (just because I wanted a nice big bag of budget-price, relaxing, tasty smoke - and I really enjoy this strain), and a gram each of Chocolope and LA Woman. The Chocolope was just wonderful, but lacked that little extra something to set it apart from the myriad other great weeds.
The LA Woman I've yet to sample, as I counted myself buying over 40 grams during the weekend.

Re: Grey Area
Was in there last Saturday and bought a 1g of exodus cheese and 1g of shakezilla, cheese was below average imo and the shakezilla was nothing to write home about.
Have always visited Grey Area every trip due to it being one of my favs once upon a time ,but I think I will give it a swerve next trip.

Re: Grey Area
Only popped in once this trip (twice but never bought the second time) , no massive queue this time
and I have to be honest , I think it's the first time that I was not blown away by something either sight/smell . Everything just looked and smelled the same to me (like Amnesia)
after looking at a few John recommended the Grey Haze , so went for a G of that and finally chose a G of the Chocolope . Can't say I was massively impressed with either , kept the GH as my first spliff next day .
