everytime i was in amsterdam i visited the dolphins
the bartenders are always friendly and their white dolphin really is a nice weed.
its not too strong but really tasty... for us it is a "must have" gear because you can smoke it all day long without getting bored of the taste and effect :)
and the area downstairs is one of the greatest places to hang out imo

and they have great bags ;)

The Dolphins is one of the best, in terms of overall experience. They have a crazy underwater motive going on, they've got color-changing vaporizers, and they've got good weed...what more can you ask for?

Try their Haze or White Dolphin.

Went here just to get some papers and tippies. Female budtender wasn't joyful. Ambiance was ok, not great imo.

Like Jmey ,went there one time ,female bud/bartender really not " joyful" indeed, ask for my ID rudely ( im 30 ..),I didnt like the bud ,not that cheap and d.r.y !..very small inside.I guess the only thing attractive about it is ..very touristic location and the name...Yes except the blue wall and the dolphin looking for some water outside nothing special.. I think they were smart to pick uo this name DOLPHINS because it brings only positive ideas but actually this coffee has nothing special..

Exactly the same experience as nella. I was asked for ID too. (which isn't strange or anything) So I showed her my drivers license and told her "By the way, DOB means 'Date of Birth". (some budtenders, especially non-touristic ones don't know this). She replies, in a rude way, by saying "Yes... I know that.". What the fck
That's what I mean by a non-joyful budtender.

Just half an hour before I was at the Dampkring in the haarlemmerstraat and my god, that guy was SO much nicer.

Hey first post on this, I go to The Dam about three times a year and I have to say that this is my favorite coffeeshop :)

I have recently returned from my 2nd trip this year and my opinion has only been strengthend.

Service is always good same with the atmosphere and the weed. Prices of drinks and food is alot cheaper than anywhere else that I have been to (2e for drinks) and I can safely say that I will be back in November!

Cant wait!

 even if they failed to discover the downstairs, you couldnt really call this place 'very small' compared to some places

Completely agree... and we never even poked our eyes in for a view of the down stairs.

Great place, great vibe, great smoke.

When I was here in September, I got a gram of White Dolphin (and kept the receipt, a very cool touch!) and headed downstairs to smoke. The weed was OK, a little harsh, but a good daytime smoke. My wife even took a couple hits (she doesn't smoke much), and proclaimed it one of her favorite shops. The decor is interesting, a little trippy, underwater theme, and comfy seats downstairs. We both thought it was kind of hot down there though, and after smoking the joint left. If it was a little cooler, we probably would have gotten another gram and another drink.

The budtender was nice enough, did her job and wasn't a bitch, all I could ask. I also never understand why people get bent out of shape if the budtender doesn't practically orgasm just because you're standing there buying a gram of weed and a looza. They're doing their jobs, they're not on vacation touring coffeeshops.
Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?

Dolphins is okay, they have a huge smoking area. The menu seems to never change though. They do have verdampers, you have to pay a 10E deposit for the bowl. I almost forgot, they have free wifi also.
