I was here again last weekend (28-30 Jan 2012), got 3.5 of the t-light (ssd) which was nice, not AS tasty as I thought it would be, but nice buds and a v nice smoke overall, 1.5 of the Golden Haze which was FIT! Nice flavour somewhere between SSH and a haze, with a v nice head buzz! Went in on the 3rd day and had 1g Shakzila which was a nice smooth tasty haze, and 1g Pot of Gold, which wasn't that great but the buds looked nice and it was smooth.
Seen John in McDonalds one night and he said Hi which was nice, really top bloke, enthusiastic about his gear, and always wearing a big smile!
GA is still one of the best imo!

Yep John from GA is amazing he always seems to remember me and have a smile when I come in, even if it's been 6 months or more.

I think I had that batch of Exo Cheese you are taking about TwoCanucks! Was there late January (Trip Report coming next couple of days, as ive FINALLY got a couple of days off!

).
Was my favourite indica of the trip! Smell and taste so good. And the effect trumped all the other Cheese's I tryed.
If you get a chance, try it!
PS: Also agree on the Grey Crystals, not as strong ... still a good buy at the price tho too I thought.

It is good - strong, with an interesting, kind of fruity taste (neither of its parents is particularly sweet-tasting). However, the high is a strange 50/50 crossover which, while enjoyable, doesn't really stand out in any way. I much prefer both LA Confidential and Martian Mean Green to the LA Woman.

Do Grey Area do any indica dominant strains? On coffeeshopmenus all the strains seem to be described like a sativa, with highs and head buzzes.

Yes, they do. Just ask the budtender. From the stuff that's usually on the menu, at least GreyBerry and LA Confidential are indica.
Sativas do seem to be "in" at the moment, the Kush hype notwithstanding, but fortunately this often means that you'll find that some of the best indicas are nowhere near the top of the price range.

This is one of my all time favorite shops been coming here since 1992. I love that it's owned by two Americans who made the dream that alot of yourgsters from America come over here and dream of, come true.
For me they also have one of the most consistently strong weeds with the best cures and taste/smell.
However on this trip Feb 15th 2012 the herbs were kinda scraggily looking. Lots of little buds and they didn't seem as nice looking as in the past.
Also another thing getting annoying is the 2-3 local guys hanging in there all the time crowded around the dealers booth and just basically in the way.
Anyways, Bought:
Strawberry diesal: Had a great smell but didn't come out in the tast that was kinda harsh. Low/medium effects definatley a no go for 13.50pg. 6.5/10
OG 18: Not a nice looking example, small scraggily buds with little visible crystal. Taste was ok, typical kush flavor. Buzz was good. Overpriced but second best Indica I have had this trip. 8/10.
GreyBerry: A personal favorite of mine. Great berry and cheesy smell. Taste lighly dankish. Medium strength buzz. Very nice for the price I use it for Black hash beds in joints. Great day time buzz. 8/10
Gonna wait 2-3 days then go back later in the day to see if better batches come in.

agreed, the most annoying part of this shop... it's costing them business, and the owners don't seem to give a shyte.
they could easily process more sales and lose less walkaways by keeping the line moving... instead the little side group continues to be a distraction,

This is the case with a few shops, Anyday comes to mind, but there are so many people willing to wait and so much foot traffic passing by central shops that they dont need to try and sell more.
I had the T-Lite and the OG18 a few days ago. OG was yummy.

If they still have it on the menu get casey jones. You wont regret it. I was there a couple of years ago and put up the little Aquateen Hunger Force Stickers above the corner both. The music sounded so clear.
