Just returned from the Dam & made a few visits to Basjoe's. James was welcoming as usual. I met the young man who works with James & though he wasn't a fireball of personality; he was certainly quite pleasant & helpful with the gear/drinks . James showed me a few strains & I decided on the Bas Special, which was EXCELLENT!! I saw the Hestia Cup on display & James appeared quite happy about having won the award. Been coming to Basjoe since '97 & it hasn't changed much...still as good as ever.

Props to my brother James....see you soon!

well done to james and the crew....leo would have been so proud.....

for an outsider it just looks like 1persons/business called 'Hestia' views & presented by some sponsor called ACD

no offence meant, hestia deserves the recognition for all the hard work, just the way the wording is doesnt look like it was voted for by the members of ACD

This was not voted for by the members, I took it upon myself to have to cup made.
The award is called the Hestia Cup.
It is awarded for the 'best' coffeeshop.
I thought that ACD should be mentioned so, I had it presented by ACD

Does anyone oppose (first and foremost The Queen - Hestia) me changing the plate with one of the following inscriptions -

or

Basjoe

2011 Hestia 4/20 Cup
Presented by ACD

or something similar...? Something to ponder - the inscription doesn't state who won the award or when it was won. This is NOT on Trad!!! You stepped up. You da man Trad.

Options:
1. It's been decided that the Cup remains with the winner for one year, after which it's moved to the new "best C/S". So do we present the previous winner with a replica before snatching the original or should that be on them?
2. The Cup will be unique and different each year. Pros - it will be unique and different each year. Cons - who will acquire it? Not much of a Con...

I'm more than willing (able is another matter all together ) to purchase and change the Basjoe plate.
