Visited Stix last Monday,11th,and met by the young guy who always worked at the other Stix (now Solo),which he told me they'd sold ...but he had stayed with Stix because they have "better quality"...he's still weighing well over whats asked for tho...i wanted 2gm of Mazaar hash,he says "its a bit over,is that alright"i looks and it 2.47 gm...a BIT OVER...so i says noa bit less mate and it goes down to 2.33gm...fuckin' cunt...so alrite i'll have that ...and i was gonna ask for 2 gm of Mango Haze,but thought i'll just ask for 1g and get 1.5g ...but this really PISSES ME OFF...no other shop (that i go into) does this...unless its a bud thats just over what you want,which is quite understandable...the dope was fine,but nowt special...and their Nepalese Temple Ball at €13,50 is a fuckin joke...go to 1ehulp and get their Nep Cream Balls for half theprice ,,,

yeah, I get the same thing. I've been to Stix 6 to 8 times, and on every single occasion they put like 0.3 gram extra on the scale and ask 'is that ok?'. Its the exact same story, even with multiple budtenders. That tells me the boss is asking them to do it.

Its a dirty tactic, bit disappointing.

Its a good shop otherwise. Nice vibe, good gear. Just remember to always say 'No, only 1 gram please'!!

Never could be bothered visiting stix... been there a couple of times. Decent gear, good service (didn't get the overwheiging) but not a really chill place to hang out. Bad interior, big ass windows (invoking paranoid) and always a bit too empty. No negative experiences with Stix, but...Better gear and nicer places available. Temple ball is OK but cheaper ones are available, at the same quality.

I love stix (now Solo obviously), always thought the gear was quality. Best Chocolope I've ever had.

I've had the overweighing, a lot, but when I questioned it I was told it avoids ripping up perfectly good buds and ending up with a load of skrag in the bottom of the tub. You know the type of stuff you get in Greenhouse?

The one up near blue bird let me pick my own buds from the tub.

Kind of makes more sense in a way, i mean, it is €x/g, if you buy apples by the kilo, you don't chop one in half if it goes over do you?

I get the problem though, but it beats pre-bagging as you can always ask them to take it down to 1g if its over, it's not as if they're arsey about it

I had the opposite problem in here, ordered 2g, got 1.98. It was 1 bud tho, although she rounded it up to 2g so i actually missed out I can live with 0.02g really

She charged me the price for 2 grams even though it wasn't and according to comments on here they usually put more than you want on and then charge you the exact price

Those tills only charge you for what you get, so say it was €10 a gram if you got 1.98 you'd of been charged €19.80.

she pressed something on the scales / till to level it out at 2g. This wasn't the only coffeeshop that did this but most of the others did it the other way, as in
put weed on the scales until it was just over and then level it out at the G you ordered. Like i said in my original post im not that anal to be arsed about .02G and in some way is better than buying 0.5 more than you want

Fair enough, I'd of been anal in the shop about it.

Know what you're saying. If it was .2 instead may have been arsed but was stoned at the time and its always nice to buy 1 bud instead of bits to make it up IMO

Rokerij on Elandsgracht did this to me when I asked for 1g of NY Diesel. They pulled out a very beautiful looking bud and popped it on the scales, it came to 2.4g and the price i wanted to pay for a gram more than doubled obviously, the b/t asked 'will this be ok?' while attempting to bag it...

It was so nice looking and smelled divine that I thought about just buying it, but then I didn't want to encourage this kind of pressure sales for any newbies so I said no, he trimmed it down a bit and left a 1.2g bud so I bought that.

Turned out to be a terrible smoke that gave me a really bad migraine so it's a god job i didn't get the 2.4g!!

Stix happens to be one of my fave shops, the one up near Bluebird anyway, and I reckon I've had this done to me numerous times there, but as I say, it's happened at Rokerij too. Stix have never took the piss like that though, it's always 0.02 grams or something, but I've had it as much as 0.2.

Rokerij Leidseplein nearly always try to get me to buy more than one gram. I suspect it is policy there too.

I enjoy flat out saying "NO" when they ask me "do you want 1.2 g?"
