So if worst comes to the worst.................... im thinking just have to ferry it over next week !v (worked to hard for to long not to have my holiday) so newcastle-amsterdam , hull-rotterdam ? any other options ? I think you can go foot passenger on the DFDS and get a cabin with the Hull one (which bumps the price up !

harwich-hook 29 single on the rail/sail deal...the"dutchflyer" service sadly now a slow ferry ,6 1/2 hours( the old HSS took about 3 1/2 to 4 hours)....night crossing(with cabin) seems more expensive....but the rail travel on both sides is in the price....for more info consult the stena ferries website....good luck

There is now a very smart new ship on the overnight Harwich - Hook ferry - mega comfortable and manned by Dutch crews. There is another one coming into service - with UK crews I believe - in September.

Very comfortable and has an indoor smoking area / lounge (so unlike anything we would expect in the UK !)

Reccomended for a comfy crossing

Enjoy trying to find a toilet thats not blocked on any of the Hull Ferries after 5am...

Don't know if its the same elsewhere but I have used Hull for many trips when they have a 2 for 1 deal on off season and never yet has the cabin toilet been useable early in the morning.

Flights are cheap from some of the midlands airports and doncaster had flights in August for £45-55 ..
