Mp3s are THE DEVILS WORK.
Flac or Shn is the only way to go.
I have 1000gigs on one HD of flacs, on the other about 400gigs.
You can play FLAC and SHN losslessly in winamp.

Why go "good enough" when you can have perfect ?
When you buy weed in Amsterdam do you buy what is "just ok" or do you look for the best ?
Think of mp3 as poorly flushed brick weed from mexico :D .

About 1500 tracks on my mp3 player. Could be loads more though, but if say I load up a cd, I only take the tracks I like. So in theory if I listen on shuffle mode I should like every track and not have to forward to a decent track.

603 artists, 6502 tracks, 17,7 days, 32,96Go.

And I'm a sound engineer so I know mp3s are bad, but for listening on an iphone with shitty earphones in the train it's good enough

Its amazing how many so-called 'DJs' play out at clubs with MP3s....SAD.

That being said, I have mostly 320MP3s which is fine for IPOD (good headphones) and a small home stereo.
