I prepared two 3.5cm peyote cactus with a sharp knife removing the skin and soft tufts of spine leaving as much pulp as possible on the peyote button.

The two peyote buttons were sliced in sections which formed discs around 0.3mm thick. These wet fleshy segments were to be consumed and each peyote button to be eaten 30 minutes apart.

I began to chew on the first slice of peyote button with expectations of bitterness. How ever to my surprise the flesh was quite palatable compared to other substances consumed in the past. The taste similar to fresh green plant matter such as grass.

I ate all the segments of the first peyote button making sure they were thoroughly masticated in the mouth before swallowing the remains and this was completed a few hours before bed time on an empty stomach aside from the 3 pints of lager consumed early evening.

Shortly after consuming the first button the effects were quite pronounced. Previously I had been informed to consume between 6 to 10 peyote buttons yet I felt a noticable change in consciousness after a single button.

Thirty minutes later I consumed the second button the same as before, chewing vigourously until swallowing the pulp of the peyote. Around 10 minutes after I needed to prostrate on the bed. My eye lids began to feel heavy and unable to keep them open I closed them with out concern or worry as this came naturally during the experience.

This is when I realised my thoughts were consumed with the information I had received previously of the peyote experience and I felt I had neglected this sacred time where my thoughts were more heightened and reality firm. When I touched my face I felt smooth skin and the hard bones of the skull. Rather than feeling poisoned I was cured of my HPPD.

One moment long in to the experience up on opening my eyes the window in front of me shook with vibrations such as under an earthquake. This distressed me slightly but closing the eyes felt much easier than keeping the eyes open. During the time under the influence of the peyote I became progressively consumed by a deep trance.

There were no visual lights behind closed eyes nor any benign sensations. Peyote is state of bliss, euphoria, peace and trance. After several hours I fell asleep only to have the most vivid dream during sleep. I must have slept for 10 hours or more only to awake feeling slightly intoxicated either from the excessive sleep, the lager, or the peyote.

Peyote is a unique experience unlike any drug I had ever taken. The state of mind is perfect for spiritual work but not to be abused. Peyote commands respect and in a sense on peyote you feel the centuries of use surrounding you entering the experience.

After eating two peyote buttons I felt a connection to another reality or state of consciousness and also felt able to consume perhaps one or two more buttons of similar size. The suggestion of consuming 10 or even 20 buttons would in my impression make the individual have a significant trance where they may experience nothing but an hallucinary state. A vision quest. I would not recommend such amounts for the first time with peyote.

It's a cactus..... If I'm not mistaken it contains Mescaline.

So do the Peyote you sell work? I've always been curious and wouldn't say no to giving it a bash (although the mrs would go spare she hates me messing with anything except weed)

I've never ate peyote itself but I have taken micro hits of mescaline, I ate 8(3 is norm. dose) of them and I felt like everything I was doing wasn't real, sort of like mushrooms but I never had a peak moment like on shrooms, and the way you precieve things changes for a while after you eat peyote/mescaline. I remember being in sort of a daze and wanting perfect silence, this is a strange drug but Boner if you have done shrooms before, you can handle this. I suggest getting a friend to drive you around, the more eye candy the better the experience. Why does everyone have a shroom fobia? I have never had a bad trip, and I have ate many kinds of shrooms, but the Golden teachers are the best in my opinion, they really take your legs away and get you eye rolling high. there legal here in the US(except CA) for mycology reasearch, died ones are illegal. Shrooms still legal in the UK?

All legal.... again fresh..... if they're processed in any way they're illegal.

Dry, Chopped, made into tea etc is classed as processed.

I read some where there's a governement comitee sitting on it so expect a change in the law soon.... I'll try and dig the article out!

Not sure why there is a shroom phobia.. i have done it the once. I freaked out BADLY.. but before i did i had a realy amazing trip.
Now i know that it will end and i won't be unable to function for the rest of my life (thats what freaked me out) I will be looking forward to shrooming when i go back to A'Dam!

Dried magic mushrooms have a Class A drug status, which means that the prison sentence for possession and distribution could be similar to that of other Class A drugs such as L.S.D, Heroin, Cocaine & Crack, but even dried shrooms are not considered a police priority. It is uncommon for someone to be seriously prosecuted for simple possession, and 'accidentally dried' mushrooms have generally been overlooked.

It must be fresh mushrooms maybe that are illegal. As i can still purchase dried fly agaric from my local head shop. Also they sell mushroom growing kits so you can grow mexican, colombian or thai shrooms in the privacy of your own home. You can still buy san pedro and peyote from this shop as well.

I think Fly agaric's contain psilocyben or a more hardcore hallucinogen probably not illegal because the fly's are the only producers, I've seen them with blue bruises. Fly's are so strong that they have to bake them, to ruin some kind of poison that, that specific mushroom contains. I havent and dont intend on eating fly agaric's because of that poison. They bake the fly agaric's because it reduces toxisity, and I have picked the wrong shrooms before and if anyone else has done this you know the ordeal, the pain, nausea, hot flashes, vomiting, and heart failure. I really thought I was going to die, I turned blue and fainted wich has never happed before or again to this day, when I fainted I hought that was it, I was going to die on my bathroom floor, from me being an idiot and eating mushrooms that werent kit grown. Have you ever ate any fly agaric shrooms, I've heard the trip was very lucid? I also found some dried shrooms(not fly agaric) on an online smartshop located inside the NL, and found the pics of the (NL government's, I think) shroom farm that supplies allot of the smartshop shrooms, I'll try to find the site and post a link.
