Coming from a place that has no trains-- I read the info however do not understand all the info. Is the eticket for travel just on trains or for all transportation in Dam?
Is the eticket just for Netherland trains? Amsterdam trains? international trains?.

you get detailed on trains to germany at www.ns.nl or www.db.de!
the cipcard (24 hour, 48 hour, 72 hour....) in amsterdam is for all public transport (tram, busses, nightbusses and metro)! the trip to germany is a separare thing and not cheap by ICE International! I don't know the pirces for the slower trains, nor if there are slower trains available.
