Traded in GT5 for Need for Speed hot pursuit, best thing ive done all year. Fun, its fun, its still fun, and not frustrating, more on the arcdae style of car handling admitedly but it feels great, just right in fact. Cops vs racers is great online dueliing, its all got very shiny graphics, no lag or slowdown I can see (im playing the PS3 version), you get good cars within an hour of playing, hear that GT5, and they keep coming, multilpayer is a hoot,



p.s to the dork in the states who played last night whilst simultaneously trying to keep his toddler entertained can you please put your baby to sleep before you play online - fuckwit (in the vain hope he reads this forum, doubt it, he sounded like one spliff would remove his last brain cell)

as some one that built cars as models for this game i can not tell you how embarrassed i am by this game!!!!
and comparing it to GT5 and thinking its better, can i have some of the green you are smoking these days? sure GT5 is the biggest let down of my life so far(thats down to 6 years of hype and over development) but it still pisses all over NFS.

NFS = Arcade shite to entertain 12 year olds
GT5 = ultimate physics driving simulator
Forza 3 = still the best racing game in the world for now, Forza 4 will be epic!
Real men = actually drive their cars on tracks not on their couch

I waited years for GT5 and traded it in after less than a fortnight, like you I couldnt believe how they could sit on it for so long etc and for what gain etc. I wasnt going to buy NFS at all but Im so glad I traded it for GT5 as I absolutely I love it. Your right its more arcade than sim, didnt say it wasnt, but its so much fun and the play/reward/frustration balance is just about right INMHO. I havent liked any of the other NFS games much, they did feel like kids games. This though fiils the gap very nicely. Have you played it online and seen people hiding in garages and under bridges to esacpe the cop cars within yards of the finish lane, then shoot out with nitrous burning before the cops can lay a spike down..its just FUN

please define real cars for me

i played NFS about 5 months ago, played it for about 4 hrs and turned it off, NFS send alot of money the way of myself and friends for a few stickers on cars but i still cant bring myself to giving it credit.

Its made by the same guys who do the Burnout series, if youre after a realistic driving sim isnt for you, but is a good laugh.

for any Brits check out Gamestation, just picked up Halo Reach special edition for £25 quid and theyve got loads of new games for between 15 and 30 quid - just going off their website Dead rising 2 £25, Fifa 11 £20, fallout new vegas £18, Enslaved £20, Bioshock 2 £8, Red Dead £23, UFC 2010 2010 £13 and a lot more

all for 360 BTW not sure about the ps
