That, dear readers, is a KLM Cityhopper Fokker 100, a recently retired plane that now spends its time chilling on AMS' panorama deck instead of hitting the tarmac.

Ah I remember the old cityhoppers from the 70's did a few trips across in them.
An ex airforce pilot was giving a talk to the womens guild and describing some of his hair raising exploits. " I was down to one engine, I had fokkers on my port side and my starboard side and a fokker in my rear view"... The chairwomen stood up and intervened and said " Ladies I must explain that Fokkers are a type of German fighter plane". " Not these Fokkers Madam, these were fokking Meshershmidts"

I've had so many trips to Holland on the KLM Cityhopper (and before that Air UK / KLM UK) Fokker 27's, 50's, 70's and 100's - many happy memories but glad to see them go as the current 70's are in a much better shape and the new Embraers are a vast improvement in this day and age.
