and the only ones i ever came across there were fairly ongezellig

I have a friend in Leiden. He drives to Amsterdam to buy / smoke his weed.. Nuff said??

I went a few years back, it's a nice enough town but the coffeshops are a non starter, don't open till four and not easy to find. Take yr own gear and have a wander round but personally I'd recommend Utrecht for a day out.

Ive traveled threw leiden! looked an ok place,Ie windmills & gables.

Lived in Leiden for 2 years...

I really enjoyed it as a very laid back smaller college town.

Look for the Leidseplein Coffeeshop.... If you search the boards you'll see my posts about it.


you will NOT be disappointed.... the weed is quite good (not amsterdam great) but very nice and cheaper. and it's the most friendly shop i've ever been to. Everyone is super nice and they have lots of magazines and board games.
