At one time they allowed cameras to be taken into the Rijks museum. I'm not sure if they allow this now. Anyway i wish they would get their act together and finish the building's restoration.

Looking at quite a few sites I've noticed that most galleries in the world employ very talented people and do some excellent websites these days.

yes, very slick looking, but, I notice I can't rid rid of the yellow line overlay on the Nightwatch for instance.

Also, the screen on the interactive is...just...small. I like mine better even though the camera was not the best.

It seems that the exhibitors are really trying to protect those images from anyone else. In some ways I don't blame them but I'm glad of the pictures I took when I had the chance.

When I was there in October of 2011, I was told in no uncertain terms to put the camera away. This, despite the fact, that I was taking pictures without the flash.

Like you, I wish they would get the restoration finished. It's been a work in progress for my last three (3) trips.

I really love the painting in your Picture 1405.

I remember that being one of my favorites from my 2010 trip.

Just loved the "Rijks", What an awsome place! the paintings there are top class,KD.
