Hi, I have been on one before, although it was pretty shit, it was the ones based on the Damrak and was very official and tourist and conservative.

Is there any others, were you could take a few beers and a bag of bud on board?

Boom Chicago do a great boat tour, 15e per person, bring drinks, food and smoke and have a jolly old time on the boat with an interesting host instead of just some boring headset shit. generally starts at 15:00 each day. if you decide to take this one message me as i work there and i will book you some tickets

he is talking about the St Nicolaas boat club, but they are not associated with Boom Chicago any longer, nor is the sign up still at the Boom theatre.
Just check out their website. It is a voluntary charge and they are great folks.

Unfortunately they are still not taking the boats out.

75 minute boat tour and leaves from Leidseplein at 15:00 most days but may be different on the day, range is genreally between 3-6:30 at latest. You meet at the boom chicago club and are walked 2 minutes to the boat. Its definately still on as i work at boom and promoted tickets for it. As for rules, just dont be a fool. your allowed to bring smoke, drink and food and just have a nice relaxed time. The boat is smaller then most so fits through all of the small canals around the RL district

so what"s the story? Are the boat people at Boom some other group and not the St Nicolaas Boat club? If it is the St Nic guys, why the website discrepancy? Figure you would know, assuming you are still currently working there.

No unfortunately not as far as I'm aware he ain't in town

Ive heard of St Nich boat club a few times, im not sure where the confusion came from, its not the same boat tour. entirely different. Im not 100% on anything but if the nicholas ones are the free ones im not sure if they are still running

St nicolaas boat club used to have their sign up at boom for their boats. Perhaps boom began their own venture. Anyway, thanks for clearing up the confusion.
