Persuaded the wife to accompany me to Amsterdam for one last blast on Hogmanay (new years eve to non scots) I've read a few old threads about new year in Amsterdam and it looks wild so just wondered from anyone in the know, where's the best and safest place to be when it all kicks off?
Dam square looked downright dangerous last year lol
Peace

If you don't want to get hit by fireworks, I would head to the Jordaan. Hang out on one of the bridges and enjoy the view.

Try the nearest bridge on Kloveniersburgwal, facing Nieuwmarkt. Worked for me.
Get your bottle of champagne early, before they're sold out.

Thanks lads.. These sound good spots
What about Nemo, anyone been up there? Is there an atmosphere there or would I be too far away from it all?
Can you tell I'm the guy hanging out in the kitchen at parties lol

I hear ya matty, and with the rukes around days in and then out of country, a res card would be brilliant.
