I'm going to Utrecht in a couple of months and was wondering if any of you fine ACDers have any wisdom to impart. I've already booked the Hotel but info on decent coffeshops, fun things to do and where to get good scram would be gratefully received

Re: Utrecht
There's loads of threads on Utrecht, and I've personally reviewed most of the coffeeshops in Utrecht - see my reviews on the main site.

Enjoy, its a great city. Make sure to have a drink or meal on the terrace of one of the many restaurants along the sunken canal if weather permits.

Yeh, I've read a lot on the coffeshops and have a few ideas on that front.
Are their any weed friendly bars, Stairway to Heaven look like it might be worth a visit

Re: Utrecht
Many thanks FBN and Aaron, I'm sure I wont be at a loss and will only be there for a couple of days and then off to Amsterdam for a couple.
The second night I'll be grooving to a band at Tivoli.
I may take a guided tour up Dom Tower as well

Re: Utrecht
The Dom is beautiful and well worth climbing, don't get too stoned before you go as its a long way up!
Tivoli is meant to be awesome, just bear in mind there are 2 - one near the old Sarasani coffeeshop (RIP) and one out in the sticks (De Helling) you will need a bus to get to.
If the weather is nice you can rent a pedelo / canal bike / pedal powered boat and explore the canals, they are very beautiful.
Enjoy your stay.
