Im a regular in the red light district and trust me its still 50 euro
but that is still cheap in my country girls ask for 80 euro and upwards

I can remember when it was 50 guilder....those were the days....

I still have a badge somewhere that shows 50 in red as in a speed limit sign with a red bar through it. Protesting at the rise to FL50 for certain services.

Now, where is my cocoa and slippers?

I thought it was/might actually be due to price competition from Germany, who quietly legalized prostitution sometime back in the earlier 2000s- read an article a few months back about the insanely low prices/cut rate prostitution houses- I'll see if I can dig it up.

... and 50 Guilders was about £14.50 GBP not that long ago - so great value for money and much more variety of women in those days too ... errrm apparently
As long as I can remember it's always been 50 irrespective of any variations in the currency exchange rates, sadly when the Euro came in it switched to 50 Euros almost overnight which in the UK meant the price leapt up to approx £33 (almost an extra £20 !!!)
In my opinion for a 15 to 20 min quicky in the windows 25 to 30 Euros max is what I reckon it's worth.
A longer time in nice clean hotel room is something different and worth paying more for.
