Hi guys!

As I told on my "Travel Plans" thread, me and some friends are going from Portugal to Maastricht on 14th Feb.
Unfortunately, due to this weed-card law, in Maastricht they're no longer selling weed to tourists.
We was thinking to make a visit to Sittard, Heerlen or Geleen and buy there, but then I saw this map and appears that the tourists ban is apllied there too: http://www.weedinthecity.com/en/netherl ... p-updated/
Is that correct? Other maps say otherwise and there is much confusing information, so I'm hoping you can help me

Forget Maastricht unfortunatly as a non Dutch citizen Forget Quality in Heerlen Geleen Or Sittard

All the cities you mentioned are in Limburg where you need a weedpass. Nijmegen looks to be the closest .

Thats not true you can go in heerlen sittard geleen no problem but you will get some poorunflushedalwayshydrobleeeeeeh

since a year or maybe longer^^ at first the shops in Roermond and Sittard opened for tourists again... now the shops in Sittard, Venlo, Kerkrade, Eygelshoven, Roermond, Geleen (only the Genesis Shop) and maybe more sell to tourists again... only Maastricht, the Brabant region (Tilburg, Eindhoven and so on) and Zeeland (like Goes) don´t sell to tourists...

but the quality of the weed is really bad... sometimes the weed is not clean... exceptions prove the rule

@wconnection & marok21 where do you guys drive at the time?

usually I drive to Amsterdam... because here is the quality most at the time really good...
Sometimes if I have no other option (because I have to work and Geelen for example is very near to my hometown) I go to Coffeeshop Genesis in Geleen or Quiam in Eygelshoven but the quality is the problem... I don´t want to smoke bad weed (not clean and so on)... it´s not good for your health it´s poison!

wconnection lives in the NL... so he can go to every Coffeeshop he wants. Maastricht is maybe the best option in South Limburg but there are only 2 or 3 shops that sell good shit and you have to live in the nl to buy there of course!

Listen to our advise as it is not a matter of personal opinion its a fact shops in heerlen kerkrade geleen sittard all suck big time if i compare with a special place in maastricht its no match the quality in this place at moment is for sure and maybe some strains even superior quality

I have some question about Maastricht and weed in general in NL. You have to be a citizen of NL to buy legally? I mean, what if I'm going to study there in Maastricht? Iis it still forbidden for me? And, what about other law terms about weed in Netherlands? Can I for example plant something in my flat?

One yo get your residence permit you will be able to buy from shops in Maastricht. What other laws in particular? You can grow up to 5 plants for personal use but you can't use any lights, grown outdoor. But your landlord might have a clause in your lease that says no growing so read carefully. I know a couple of people that have been evicted for that reason!

What do you mean by residence permit? I mean, it's some kind of confirmation that I live there or something?

Where are you from? When I moved to The Netherlands I was issued a card which is a residence permit, Google it.

I would suggest you come to Kerkrade,i can guarantee you they sell Weed to you as long as you have a Passport of your Country,or a drivers license or anything else where you can proove your ID with.Dont get me wrong you DONT need to be DUTCH and you DONT need a Weedpass.
Just a valid ID/Passport of your own Country.
The Coffeshops there are Quiam (realy shitty shop selling Brixweed,and mouldy Weed,and Weed with perfume and Hash with Engine Oil....) and the Down Under Coffeshop which has excellent Weed and good Hashich.
Its at Hamolenweg 15 in Kerkrade,its 3-4 Meters below the Streetdamm Level,you need to look on the left Side until you see a driveway leading down,and a little shield next to it "Down Under Coffeshop"
They also have Shields on the Parking lots where "Stoney" is written on.But you need to drive down the Driveway to be able to see this "Stoney Shields"

You can buy 5 Gramm/Person (other Citys are limited to 3 in some cases)

To Weedpass: Maastricht is closed for Tourists,but the Citys around,Kerkrade,Heerlen,Sittard,Geelen should be open to tourists.
But like i said i would drive to down Under Coffeshop.
Its a nice Shop with nice People,you can Play Pool or Tablesoocer or Watch TV.
Its a Huge Shop with dark Wood interiour.They often have loud Music which i dont consider Stoner Music,thats a downside for me,but their Cannabis is realy good
You can sit at large 8 People Table/Bank Combos or,in case youre Alone you can sit at the Bar next to the Owners.


Kerkrade is not realy a Tourist Town,but they have a nice mix of Arcade and Casino,originaly it was called "Taj Mahal",but today it belongs to a other Gambling Company.
They also have a large Park and Zoo there.
