Ok guys some of you already know I am heading out this Wednesday and will be staying at the Meininger Hotel Amsterdam City West. I know it's just next to the train station and only one stop from the city center.

Has any one stayd here before ?

Are there any coffe shop's in walking distance ?
Any info is would be great thanks.

no decent shops close by. they have bike hire and it is a fairly easy ride into town. 10-15 mins depending on your mood. check out the cheap brekkie they have there too. I like it for >50 euros a night.

What's the laws on cycling under the influence in holland ?

Would recommend this place to anyone nice staff clean rooms 24hr bar.

5 min train ride into town max.

I loved the train ride the graff along the tracks is top class.
