Crash Light

ACD Page: Crash Light

Pretoriusstraat 67, 1092 GB, Amsterdam

So I popped into this shop as it is conveniently located en route to my local Dirk van den Broek, and I have been trying to try shops which I don't go to often (or don't know much about). In side there is a smallish room with the bud counter, with a door at the far side leading to a smoking room. I went on my way home after doing some shopping, so I just bought and left, so I can't offer any information on the smoking room.

The menu (UPDATED 30/04) looked something like this:
Weed;
Amnesia Haze (10 or 12e p/g)
W.W. Skunk (8e p/g)
Columbia Import (2g for 7e)
Hash;
Twizla (10e p/g)
Zero Zero (8e p/g)
Polem (7e p/g)
Afghan ( 2g for 7e)
Morrocan (2g for 7e)

I arrived just as someone left the shop, while I was being served another 3 or 4 people arrived, and there were clearly people in the smoking room, so the shops appeared to be popular enough amongst locals (This was on Wednesday, super sunny outside). Service was good enough, the BT started grabbing some papers for me without me even asking, but I declined as I was pretty well stocked.

I asked to see the W.W. Skunk, and was presented with a pre weighed gram bag. Nugs looked nice, not super dense, but a compact bud structure, and it looked frosty. Smell was pretty pungent, slight sweet edge. Grabbed the gram and went home. Upon grinding the aroma intensified further, sweet skunky smell. The bud was slightly sticky, but still went through the grinder no problem. My palate for bud isn't great at the best of times, but my tastebuds have been off for a few days, so I can't really comment much on that. Effect wise, a fairly balanced hybrid, that has a gentle initial high, followed up by a strong creeper stone. I have to say this bud was much more potent than I was expecting, especially for the price.
Anyway, here are some photos !

Overall I was pretty impressed with this place. Nothing fancy, and a really small menu, but I was really happy with my W.W Skunk, good value and I will definitely be back, maybe to sample some of the hash ! Only downsides are lack of bud variety, and pre bagged weed.

Popped into here again to double check the menu (updated above) because I had just been into Coffeeshop Nachtegaal (review topic coming soon) which I thought (and was pretty much right) had an identical menu, funny as it is 350m down the road (you can see it from outside Crash Light).

Grabbed a gram of the pollem (7e p/g) to try, partly because I happened to have 7e in my pocket. Service was perhaps not as good as last time, nothing wrong the BT just seemed a bit disinterested, maybe I am being harsh. Had a look at the combian bud out of interest, and it was a bag of dark, shake, few buds, got the impression it was only being sold to be used as a filler for hash. Also had a look at the Afghan (2g for 7e) and it looked ok, not very smell, quite hard but some bend in it.

Now I am even less of a connoisseur of hash than I am of weed, but I will comment what I can. Pollem is fairly malleable at room temp, but not really sticky to touch, looked like a decent enough Morrocan to me. Standard spicy Moroccan smell, nothing that made it stand out to me. Smoke wise it was very smooth, but the flavour was quite lacking, normally hash joints really stand out to me (really dominant taste) but I found this very mild. Effect wise, moderate stone that came on to peak by the time I had sat down after my joint, however it felt fairly short lived.

Menu looks almost exactly the same as in 2022 when it was posted on the coffeeshopsmenu.org
Went there 2 days ago smelled a gelato for 10 a g and a OG kush for 10/12. Both smelled like shit.
Decided to try a hash instead, but he accepted only cash.
So pretended to go the atm and left as quickly as i could.
