Best canal tour

Post by funky »

Hey folks.

Going to amsterdam may 10-15...looking to do a couple touristy things besides sittin in the coffeeshops...:) What is the best canal tour for the $$? I don't care about dinner on the boat etc...just want a good little cruise around, and be able to puff on the boat if I desire...any ideas? thanks!

I have posted your trip on the May Whos In Town page. Have a great trip.

There are very few toking canal boats, you may want to try Boom Chicago's website, they have a boat you can smoke on. Rookies also will do charter cruises around the canals. There may be others, but your standard canal cruise boats do not allow smoking.

Doesn’t the Cannabis College have canal tours? I swear I remember one of the girls almost insisting we came on a trip the next day “It’s cool, you can bring food to eat and weed to smoke! (and I get this a lot from those guys for some reason, I might look like a cheap ass, dunno why or that I do though) …and it is very cheap!!”. CC would be the perfect canal tour hosts IMO, and those guys deserve every penny you can spare to throw at them, alas we never got around to going on a trip so I can’t confirm if it was Amsterdam screwing with my memory or they actually did have, and thus perhaps still do, a boat trip…

FBN: Is Boom Chicago the ones hosting the cannabis cruise canal tours (or some name very similar to that) ?

HERE is the website that directs you to Boom Chicago. Antique boats and smoking could equal fun. Price looks right also. You do have to GO TO Boom Chicago to book a ride.

At Rookies you rent a 20 passenger boat, so you would want to get at least 10 people together for it. You have to set it up via email or in person.

Thanks alot for the help...and thanks for listing my trip. If anyone else here sees this and wants to book the rookies boat with me, please leave a message. There are only 2 of us....I think the boom chicago route would be good though.

Dunno about one that lets you smoke. Plas tours off of damrak is only 6,50e for a 1hr roundtrip w no stops. Canalbus 18e but has stops all around city and is good until noon next day.
