Sneek

Sneek is a little town about an hour and change north of Amsterdam. I would have never happened upon it if my band hadn't gotten booked there on our European tour...
The place was beautiful, the people were incredibly friendly, and the only coffeeshop I visited, Esara, was marvellous. I recommend you start with a walk through the markets and cobblestone streets of this wonderful village. Take in the views, the architecture, the culture and, of course, the herbs. Esara had a decent menu and great prices. Their top of the line hash (can't remember the name) was good, but their own strain of herbs, named Esara after the shop, was phenomenal. They have a few vaporizers readily available, so I sampled their wares in one of the contraptions. The taste was smooth and the high was great (and believe me, at 250 pounds, I'm no lightweight). So good, in fact, that my drummer and i almost missed the show because we could not find the venue.
Esara was run by a couple when I went. They were some of the friendliest, kindest folks I met in my journey so I will go back this May when I'm in the Dam. I srongly recommend this place....
one love,
