I jump on the train to Zandvoort and soon arrive at the end of the line. Rob meets me at the train station, we say our pleasantries and we're in the rental car and driving everywhere. We saw all the beach area, north and south. drove where all the Rich & famous live. Went to Zandvoort racetrack and Rob gave me a history lesson behind it. The Germans leveled it, to prepare for a Hugh victory parade after they won the war.

Rob then took me a very historical site, where over 300 Dutch resistances were executed in various places in the dunes in WW2. Erebegraafplaats Bloemendaal is their final resting place.
The last picture is the Headstone of the last person to be executed...24-year-old female, Jannetje Johanna Schaft.

Made my back into town, but not before stopping at "Wok to Go" for dinner at the apartment. Dinner finished; I made a real good attempt at knocking out as many bongs hits while watching the movie, "The Hitman's Bodyguard."
Evening done, I call it a night and get ready for my last day, if you want to call it that.
Day 8, my last day, sort of.
Woke up early, showered, had a couple of bong hits and head out the door for one last breakfast in town. Latei, is the place this morning. Just a couple of blocks from my apartment on Zeedijk. Good food, good O.J., and good lattes.
Stomach full, I head back to start packing and smoke as many bowls as I can before leaving.

It's time to leave, I say good-bye to my host, and I'm gone. Uneventful train ride, a nice long walk thru Schiphol airport, a quick pass thru security, and before you know it, I'm on my 10-hour flight to Seattle.

I leave rain in Amsterdam, to arrive it raining in Seattle.

All I can say is this. What a GREAT time I had for 4/20/2024. Meet so many wonderful people this year, and it was great to see the folks I have seen before, and folks I haven't seen in years. (Trevor)

Not sure what next year is going bring, but I'm going to do my very best to be there next year.

Until then, I'll see you on ACD or WhatsApp:
