I couldn't find a thread to discuss Medical Cannabis in the UK, so is this it now?

I've recently been accepted and I'm sure there will be other medical users on here too. Perhaps this would be a good place to post reviews, share experiences, offer advice etc

I'm with Alternaleaf, it's a tenner a month and that covers admin costs and all your consultations and follow-ups. Then you just pay for your meds.

First month I was prescribed 30g and was given:

15g Curo Zkittles Pie
15g Curo Black Cherry Punch

They were a bit drab to be honest. The Zkittles Pie bore no resemblence to any Zkittles or Georgia Pie I've ever had. It was a weird browny orange colour and just not very good.
Black Cherry Punch, also by Curo, was marginally better - I could at least taste the terps on this one

This month they have upped me to 40g and I was also able to choose my own strains, I went for:

10g Mamedica London Jealousy - £50
10g Lot420 Ripped Off Runtz - £85
10g Phant Pink D1 (Minis) - £60
10g Sundaze Candy Store - £75

This is much more like it. The Runtz and the Candy Store are both really nice, lovely looking buds, decent flavour and pretty strong effects.
The London Jealousy has slightly less attractive nugs, the flavour is more subtle - theres a kind of lime twist to it, but the effects are great for me - super calming without lethargy.
Pink D1 is just smalls but they are well formed buds nonetheless, smells a bit grassy but it's great for night time and helping me sleep.

Everyone I've spoken to at the clinic has been really friendly, non-judgemental, empathetic. The guy I spoke to this month was called Nav and he was just lovely. Overall, my experience so far has been pretty positive and I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

What are other peoples experiences? What clinics are you with and do you have any strain recommendations?

I get 50g a month now. I get 2 vape carts for when I'm out and about and 30g of flower for home.

My flower this month is Craft Botanics - Gelonade, Green Karat - Fiji Sunset & Aurora Pedanios - Sourdough

Sourdough is always on my repeat. Gelonade has been the last 3 times. Fiji Sunset I got because Green Karat - Modified Gas was out of stock.

I use medbud.wiki to check terpene profiles. Also on reddit, r/ukmedicalcannabis for news and information.

Heard good things about that Sourdough for sure, and the Modified Gas fir that matter

I use medbud to cross reference too, great resource. I'd been filtering the results on medbud to only show montu stuff and was pleasantly surprised how much more stuff there actually was when looking through the montu catalogue.

The more I use this Runtz , the more I like it, best of the bunch this month for me

How are the carts? I assume I'd need to buy a compatible device as well?

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Sourdough @HitTheNorth. Puts me to sleep nicely!

Medbud is a fantastic resource isn’t it! Love the terpene profile pie charts. Limonene and Caryophyllene are my go to terps

I’m glad you’re enjoying the Runtz. I will have to put that on my script one month. I’ve heard great things about Craft Botanics - White Runtz too. Is the Ripped Off Runtz going to be a repeat for you mate?

The carts are great for when out and about. I can sit outside Costa Coffee on the Highstreet and get blazed whilst people watching! This month I’ve got two of the 4c Labs carts. Grapey grape and Watermelon Splash. They’re both distillate with added terps. Grapey Grape tastes like a US grape Fanta and the Watermelon tastes like a US watermelon Mountain Dew. Artificial flavours galore ! I don’t mind it but I know others would hate that artificial flavour. The Aurora carts are great as they’re a bigger size and they’re Resin instead of Distillate but they’re pretty much sold out all the time.

Yeah, you’ll need a 510 battery with the cart. Montu sell them on their accessories tab. I went for the Yocan Ziva Pro which is £18 or so.

Hello HTN - £10 a month with Alternaleaf sounds great – I pay £75 a year now in my second year with Mamedica, but year one cost me £450 !
Good luck finding the best bud – it’s just the same lottery as buying in Dam but @10g per purchase it hurts when you choose rubbish. You can’t follow your nose on MC, so I recommend you follow online MC reviewers. I follow a few like https://www.youtube.com/@smacksalad and https://www.youtube.com/@Smokie_McGreen
but there are dozens to choose from.
My own favourite brands atm – Green Karat, Peace Naturals, DofE and 4C labs. Brands I avoid- Curaleaf, Glass Pharms (freeze dried crap), SUMO Craft 4. My top 3 repeat purchase strains - Green Karat T30 Pave S1 and T29 Supreme Diesel (both @ £9g), Peace Naturals T30 Atomic Sour Grapefruit (£8.50g). I could name a host of much cheaper 4C Labs strains that I loved but they appear to be one-off opportunities, as the strains are now discontinued. The good stuff goes fast.

I am with Integro (I was previously with Zerenia & Jorja Emerson Centre), free first appointment with my blue light card and had to pay for 2nd appointment £49 and pay £10 repeat prescription. They have since abolished the appointment fees, so now is similar to Alternaleaf and pay £10 for first prescription and £7.95 for any extra prescriptions submitted in that month.
On Monday I ordered Yoda Cap, Phants D1 minis and 2 x Sourdough carts at 10am and was delivered the next day just after 11am. Sooooo fast.
I use medbud too, it's the best resource available to us for medical.
I have also just spotted the Canopy KMI Kush Mints is back in stock. I am going to have to put an extra script in for some of that.
Also, with Integro you don't have to sacrifice some flower to get a cart, you can add those on top of your flowers.

finally got my medical card sorted outs initially went with releaf, I know but they got me started and after 1 month I have change to medicine, which is so much better and cheaper as well. I also get a choice of a lot more strains. I did get some 4c lab flower, but really felt the irradiating had destroyed the taste. My last 2 orders from medicann of lemon diesel fritter has been lovely ... some of the best tasting and smelling lemon diesel I have had. Must admit it is a relief(probably getting older) for driving, knowing I am covered for having cannabis in my system. I really only vape, so it has been a win win situation. I had put off getting medical as I sort of disagreed ethically , that if you have money you can get cannabis from a pharmaceutical company but not off your friendly plug....but for my own piece of mind I bit the Bullet and got one
and as there are no appointment fees, you just pay for your prescription and £4.99 for next day delivery , they feel more inclusive

Thank you mate it is am amazing feeling , quite strange to be on the legal side of things ... can't fault medicann, great choice of products and no costs bar medicine and £4.99 and you get to choose what you want, which is perfect for me .

thanks for the recommendations, I shall have a look to see if yours are on my list ... I hope you enjoy the lemon diesel, I have had it twice and some of the tastiest diesel I have had for a long time and a very good effect for me

is the banana daddy from 4c labs? I had some of their ultra sour.. but little to no smell and limited taste, it put me off the irradiated stuff to be honest

I had loads of 4C stuff early doors. I tend to steer clear of it these days as I've been more often disappointed with their product. I try to get non-irradiated if possible. Green Carat are a good brand, I think they've just brought some new ones out.
