Booked up to return, in what will be the 10th year in a row (not including the 2021 Covid period !!)
Flights booked
Apartment booked
Post and start scouting coffee shops on ACD forum
(Knowing it will be mostly be solo and het ballonetje that are visited most
)
A 3 night visit this time, gives us a bit more time to explore - the buzz is starting already

I’m hoping the 3 night stay gives us a chance to make it to chapiteau, plus we’ve booked an air bnb style apartment which seems much more relaxing - when I stay in hotels I always feel like I need to be up and about early and not returning til late at night, or maybe that’s when I’m only there for 2 nights

Coffeeshops to visit:
Solo - always a must and usually 1st shop when arriving
Het ballonetje - my all time no.1
Chapiteau - missed out on here on last visit, just never got round to it
almost booked an apartment near here just so we would be close to it
Sensemilla - made it here last visit, very impressed with quality and price, worth the effort to get here
Terps army 2 - an old favourite from when it used to be noon, think it’s the location near the rijksmuseum I really love tbh but the weed is tops and I like the vibe in the place
keep meaning to try Terps army in the centre, maybe this visit
Drew’s/ mediterrene - was here last visit and another one for going back to, can’t remember much about it though, had been a heavy day
Will be adding more after recommendations from you guys

8 weeks and 3 days to go ……
Plans are starting to form in my head now, firstly I’m gonna do a wee triangle of lesser spoke about Coffeeshops- cheech and chongs(have always been gonna go there but never have lol), sensemilla and de supermarkt. Hopefully get some menus to post as well
Next, a walk down the Amstel to relax zuid then along to the stud - guaranteed to get 10,000 steps on that walk
I’ve often said that I don’t like to overplan trips, but I find I get more out of it if I’ve got at least half a plan
and don’t leave everything to “see what happens”
think it’s my adhd kicking in

Have bought, and been using then new pax mini 2, no more tobacco for me
will be giving that a good bashing when in Amsterdam

Cheers RoMoney, This may be the year to take the ferry over and go up Amsterdam lookout for the grand view and maybe lunch or dinner up there - definitely won’t be on the swing

Wouldn’t bother with cheech and Chong was there last year wasn’t that good. Empire out in Haarlem was best shop I went to last month

Adding to this list :
the Hit - quite close to our apartment, have never been there, never knew there was a coffeeshop there
anyway, menu looks interesting, looks a quiet wee shop as well. Saw Corax in there on a YouTube video, will give it a go
Also the stud, been a couple of years so well overdue plus the Mrs has never been there and I’ve always promised her a stud

Getting closer, only 5 days
although a small part of me is wishing we had booked for 420 instead
reading the 420 thread has really put me in the mood
maybe next year
Hopefully I’ll get some menu photos for the ACD crew hitting the town, play my wee part in proceedings
who knows 
will be giving that a good bashing when in Amsterdam
