By the way, that's at 8 weeks flowering, and the drying buds are just from the one plant already cropped. That's all I know...

Not that I know of, what would you suggest for using the leaf and trimmings? bubble bags? I'm pretty clueless about making hash, and he's very old-skool...
Any ideas welcome.

as far as i know the plants should be hung upside down with a garbage bag over it to collect the drippings which get hardened into hash. as far as leaves and trimmings you can turn those into keef, either with a keef box or banging them around to knock off the crystals.

or use them to make canabutter, basically put the trim in some boiling water with butter, I'm unsure of weight ratio's and stuff but a little googleing should help. By all means it seems very simple to do.
And who doesn't like a cake or cookie that gets ya bubbled

Just for clarification, it doesn't much matter how you dry it, upside down, smashed between two books, whatever. Herb is dried upside down because bud tends to flatten when dried on a flat surface. They look like morning hair after a long night sleeping on one side. Drying upside down to push cannabinoids into the buds, presumably through gravity, is an old wives' tale. It's basically cosmetic.
Bubblebags are the best way to extract hash from leaf and trimmings. Buy the washing machine and 3-bag set from Pollinator Co., and it will pay for itself within the first couple of uses. You'll be surprised.

Thanks for the info, roughly how much is the full setup (bubblebag) CJ? My friend is pretty broke as he's got a young kid now.

On the right side of the pond, they are available through this Canadian-based North American distributor. After conversions, the price will be pretty close to the European distributor's:

EDIT: I see there's a conversion chart right on the Web site. About E205 is the answer.
If you're in Amsterdam, you also can visit Pollinator Company at Nieuwe Herengracht 25 (same canal as Herengracht, except on the east side of the Amstel, just a block or two south of the Stadhuis en Muziektheater). It's a little canal storefront, inconspicuous, packed floor to ceiling with the Bubbleator washing machines, and the personnel are more than happy to answer all your questions (and let you bong up in the lobby).

Post-holiday update:
Well, it was lovely weed indeed - dry but sticky, stinky, well cured, dense buds. I also had some White Widow, Snow White, Blue Widow, Moroccan hash, and we also made some hash with the half a bin liner - half a kilo - of leaf and lower bud that my mate salvaged from his mate who was about to throw it out!!!
We smoked a
lot, and quite blatantly (remember, this shit stank) all over Marbella, past cops, on beaches, at the pool, on a restaurant terrace, pretty much everywhere, without any problems. I love Spain nearly as much as Amsterdam.
Here's what was waiting in my room when I got there.
