You can only judge it if you've tried it, and I have by now. For me, BlackZushi LiveRosin from TheTenco is the best rosin I've ever tasted in AMS (9,5/10), and I've tried over 50 different varieties. You just have to look at the brilliant texture and the taste is on a par with it.

As in every area of life, you naturally pay a disproportionately high price for the last few percent of quality. Everyone has to know for themselves whether it's worth the 250€/g instead of 100€/g, because of course it's not 2.5 times as good as the excellent WhiteFire43 from ArchiveAstorClub or the ColdCured HoneyBanana from LovelyHash. But in terms of taste, it's a point above almost everything else I've tasted in the LiveRosin section of AMS. Only the great ODV III from Barcelona comes into this region, but at 170€/g it is not a special offer either.

For me, Green Place is one of the top 5 coffeeshops in Amsterdam if you're looking for very high-quality products, whether weed or concentrates. In addition to Tenco, they also have a few other great LiveRosins on offer, which are significantly cheaper at 120-140€/g.

The advice has always been very good there, the goods are sealed and sometimes you even get the chance to try something new. Yes, the store is expensive, but you get value for money.

Looks really nice but damn for me that prices are way to much  250€/g is crazy.

I can imagine that it is fire and Green Place also has a very good reputation when it comes to Cali stuff... Personally, I couldn't reconcile it with my conscience to spend so much money on it; I work too hard for my money... Even for a one-time holiday experience it would still be too expensive for me...
Well if money didn't play a role, things would definitely look different

But nice to read a review from somebody who tried it. Thanks for that

You're absolutely right, the price is crazy, especially because you have to buy 2 grams straight away 🤪 It's mentally difficult to overcome this prohibitive price and risk €500 for something that might just end up being a hype and disappointing. I wrestled with myself for half a year every time I went to GreenPlace 🫣. Last week I finally did it and I'm glad I did because it really is unparalleled quality.

Of course you pay at least 50€/g just for the fact that it says TheTenco on it, but the rest of the price is imho quite justified, especially when you see that the GreenHouse next door charges 140€/g for rather mediocre rosin. If TheTenco stuff would cost maybe 170€ like ODV III and you could buy it as 0.5g, I would certainly use it more often. So it remains something for a special occasion.

And when other people spend hundreds of euros on wine/whiskey/champagne/etc., I don't feel bad about spending that money on the best weed/concentrate 😉

Nah don't give in to this sillyness. Price on that live is 85 a gr, greenplace is taking the piss and you are fully swallowing it. Same for those cali's, it goes around for 13/14 on the gr and you don't even have to buy a lot to get to that price level.

The “normal” prices in AMS of 95€-140€ for LiveRosin are absolutely reasonable in international comparison. Even in the USA you pay $100/g for the top products, a friend of mine was trying his way through a lot of stores in Washington last week. Here is an example

If you take into account transportation and possibly taxes/fees, a premium of 20-40% compared to the USA is absolutely reasonable and almost everything in AMS is within this range. If you have dealt with the complex production of LiveRosin with a closed cold chain (and I don't mean simple HashRosin, Resin, etc. that is often tried to sell you instead), you know that the 4-times price compared to a dried flower is not only justified by the THC content of 80%+.

I know that there are people who buy weed for 4€/g or hash for 6€/g and are happy with it and I accept that. However, you should also accept that there are people who have different quality expectations and are willing to spend more money on it - we live in a free country where everyone can decide for themselves what they want to buy and fortunately there is a wide choice. I simply compare it to wine. There are many people who are happy with a €2.50 bottle from a discount store because it gets them just as drunk as an expensive wine. Some buy a €25 bottle from a wine merchant because they value a flawless taste and others treat themselves to a €250 bottle for a special occasion. Why should cannabis be any different?

I don't really want to start a general price discussion in the Greenplace thread and certainly not a fundamental discussion about the prices of LiveRosin. So I think it would be good if we could continue the price discussion elsewhere so as not to fray this thread. If you feel the GreenPlace is too expensive for you, you can choose another coffee shop with cheaper products - there is certainly no shortage of choice in Amsterdam.

Yeah, I laughed about it too 😁, but I finally saw a TV report that the stores in AMS & BCN actually have to pay taxes and have real accounting. How that's supposed to work if you don't have goods received invoices is beyond me thought & imagination 🤷‍♂️ - presumably you have to be high to do accounting like that. 😅

I think some in this thread may be demonstrating why it's important to prefer the benefit of the doubt (as discussed in another thread where the subject of AI arose). The alternative always seems to be that stoners get paranoid and start seeing Martian spies everywhere!

I also agree that the conversation about premium prices is wider than just Green Place and would be worthy of its own thread/topic, maybe in Coffeeshops and Cannabis, if anyone would like to start one.

I agree @ Lemming

Last thing I wanted to say;

''I know that there are people who buy weed for 4€/g or hash for 6€/g and are happy with it and I accept that. However, you should also accept that there are people who have different quality expectations and are willing to spend more money on it ''

Im talking about the brands that greenplace (& others are selling) 85 on the tenco live and 13/14 for branded cali.

Same as that static room hash that goes around, got it offered for 18,5. In some shops they are pushing it for 40-60 on the gram. My message is about how ridiculous the mark up is and that ''we'' (the buyers, the collective, the locals) shouldn't give in to this scam. I believe you when you say that the quality is good/premium, i've tried most of the products myself.
