Hi Just need some advice.

I got 4 fem Northern lights seeds while in the Dam in june. Plated them in aone big pot and left them on my window ( inside ). I live in Dublin.

They all started to grow. in fact one seed produced two shoots. I took the small shoot and put it in another pot and its not doing near as well as the other 4.

as for the other for the are about 3 inches tall and leafy.

Was thinking about putting them in their own pots and sticking them in the green house. Hav egivemn them one feed of Tomato food.

Any advice. I dont wana go down the road of lights and that just yet. Maybe next year.

At three inches, with plants jammed into the same pot, and nearing the point of flowering in your outdoor climate, your chances of harvesting any usable product are slim and none. You needed more vegetative time and each plant needs its own space (i.e., pot).

Nevertheless, to have any chance at salvaging anything, you must immediately split your sprouts and get them into separate pots, preferably 3-5 gallons apiece. They need room for root growth. Don't worry about tearing the roots to break them apart. Tear them. They will regenerate and grow.

Get a good-draining soil with some extra vermiculite and perlite, add some high-phosphorous guano (about one cup per pot), feed every 2 weeks with a high-phosphorous flowering mixture, and see how it goes.

Then, after all that, get yourself a good grow book, read the on-line grow guides, and plan your next effort. Merely throwing seeds into soil rarely works with cannabis, except in the best climates and richest soils. There's an art to this, and if you take just a little time to learn it, you will be rewarded for life. Good luck!

cheers for that. I have them in good soil. Lucky i live in ireland and we have no end of peat soil. Ill move them into their own pots and take some pics and put them up.

a few of my plants have some brown rust colour around the edge of a leaf or two. is this anything to worry about? I have just moved them to a green house?

my plants are about 7 inches high now. the sunny waether last week has really helped them. am feeding them once a week. am i going to run out of time before we get 15 hours of dark end of september?

That would seem awfully late in the year for cannabis to flower in natural light in Dublin.

plants are about 2 feet high. if i leave them over winter, will the be ok and grow again next year>?

doubtful considering the weather you get...invest in a low energy light rig...and then you'll have weed all year round...they're not that expensive,about 170 pounds,cost about a fiver/week to run...and will pay for themselves quickly....consider the price of an ounce or two of good weed and there's yer saving

i should have said....its a 2 bulb set up with a built in fan(to help draw heat away from the bulbs (not that they get hot) the bulbs are warm white 200w envirolites....not as powerful as some lights but they do work,don't give out a huge heat signature and are cheap to run.....weigh up the pros and cons and for a small grower they are great....3 grows/year for last 5 years and still on the same bulbs....but the fan unit (looks like a puter fan) did burn out,desk fan replaced it ,fotos are somewhere in the growing and seeds section of the forum and the plants are ssh using greenhouse seeds

plants are getting very big very quickly ( leat 3 foot high now stink of weed). last week we have had great sunshine. i dont think we get 15 hours of darkness untill the end of september so ill leave it a few weeks before i decide anything. If i get a low light rig. how much longer would they need under them?

Where? Is that with a balast? I know little about this stuff...
