Amsterdam House sounds

Post by Marco »

Ok, this is for the house heads, if that ain't you, no worries...but its really a pleasure to share the really cool house music scene we have in Amsterdam.

Just stepped in (1130) from day 2 of the Het Kabinet festival.

Its a music and film festival in this great huge school out east. Today was the representation of what I consider the Amsterdam house sound....DJs like Tom Trago (fucking legend in this town), Antal (owner of rush hour records.....San Soda, a fucking crazy talented DJ-producer from Gent, Belgium where he works for Red D, of the Belgian We Play House label.

Then my mates Juju and Jordash, who play this crazy live show, its unbelievable!

If you like house then you can relate how when a party is radiating positivity, everyone has a good time. I really like the Dutch party people....its crazy what they want to shove into your hands (-: And until 10 o'clock Antal was beating the shit out of the remaining freaks like ME! 8)

So here is a typical amsterdam house track, not totally deep but still really true to roots of house, which is first and foremost party music.

San Soda, he plays his own productions live and DJs, and DJs with Red D. He came alone last night and sadly we did not get enough of him (-;

I know the pictures suck, but listen to the tracks if you like house.

And I know people are coming for Time Warp, but next time come for a local party, like all the Dekmantel. Always a great spot, 3 rooms of all types of house and some techno, local and us talent (chicago, detroit).

Time Warp is gonna but one big security checkpoint so be careful, yo.

Thanks, and I will always be glad to take out an ACDer to hear some good music. My passion for music has been reborn over here due to the real creativity of the scene.

That being said, I am sick as a dog from being out all night and coming home in the damn cold yesterday (0:

peace
