Saw that Bulldog is the winner of this poll by far.

Interestingly, I went in Bulldog coffeeshop Oudezijds Voorburgwal the other day to enquire about something.

I've been in there once years ago in 97 and could barely remember it. I did not remember how huge the place was, with a large downstairs section too. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Their weed may be shit but plenty of places are but still nice places to chill. I don't think Bulldog really deserves this worst coffeeshop award, there are plenty much worse. Plus they are historic as they have a genuine claim (disputed between them, Ruisland and Mello Yello) to be the oldest CS in Amsterdam.

I read in a cannabis cup free magazine in Soft Secrets in an interview that they want to improve their rep and so even tried entering some strains?

Maybe their worst mistake was the branding with the dog? I know some people think it is just frequented by English stag party lager louts but this is not the case.

Yea true! some places that sell s**t weed actualy are good shops,I sit in the bulldog rockshop maybe at least once a day.

Not been over the Dam for a couple of years but going back this year. I want to add a new one to the list BABA's we used to go every year for about 10 years and this was my favourite, cosy, friendly, and great to watch the world go by. But last visit we walked in and got a seat I thought skin up first then drink as usually did. we had been in there no longer than 5 minutes and this guy comes up and rudely says "you've gotta buy a drink you know" so I went and bought us a drink then walked out never to return.
As for the Bulldog Lslpln. yep S*** Weed but a great place to watch life always stop here for a Beer or a Hot Chocolate with Cream at the end of the night to watch the world go by, so I will give the Bulldog a + plus.

I like this place! Great shakes and smoothies. Just wonderful to sit outside at about 16:00 because of the sun that shines directly in your face. I don't judge their weed and hash only the place itself! It's not in the RLD btw let's call it GH Centrum. The interior is nice too imo.

I apologise for saying it was in the RLD. It just seems to be how it is referred to. I will agree that sitting outside in the afternoon on a summers day is lovely. However I am yet to of purchased anything cannabis-wise that has been good here.

I've had very different experiences at GH Centrum at different times of the week/day... Also, when speaking Dutch vs. speaking English... But take into consideration that the tenders in the RLD have to deal with a lot of high, sometimes drunk, often rude people. So I think that Budtenders give what they get, if you forget your manners don't expect friendliness... I think when inexperienced smokers get too stoned in AMS they get tunnel vision sometimes and think "Bud Bud Bud" forgetting to be polite, saying please, thank you, Etc Etc.... Don't get me wrong, not all tenders are gregarious but GH has quality Herbs ALL the time..
