On my first trip to Amsterdam I walked past at least 5 coffeeshops just to make this my first. A belter of a shop I'll def b going back in January and making this one of my first stops again. They have a microscope and a volcano for anyone to use. 10/10

This was my first CS also. I think I was motivated by the FZ music when I was doing the research for my itinerary. When I was there the first time in January of 2004 they still had the pool table and served beer and liquor. I still get their WW 5 gr. deal it's always dam good.

Still my favourite shop. As I go over on my own pretty often, I like somewhere chilled, people who don't hurry you and will let you sit & bake away. The Attenborough documentaries on silent with a great mix of tunes makes it a great place to sit and mash alone, yet it is quiet enough to sit and talk if you're with company. Weed is always pretty good & the staff are on the ball - cool people.

No R&B either, afair. The only genre of music so shit it had to steal its name from another one.

Anyways, its a great CS. Recommend it to anyone... 'Cept people I don't like

I bought some 420 (Haze?) tonight.

Anyway, I love this place, been coming here for years. The weed and hash are generally above average.

But this bud I got tonight was crap.

Maybe I have the curse of the "cigarette tasting" weed, I have no idea! :D

Honestly, I have thrown the rest of my weed away.

I will still keep coming here though, I just won't touch that 420 weed or whatever it is.

Not the best weed in the dam but usually pretty decent and is a very friendly and welcoming kind of place. Usually drop in with a sandwich at some point.

Why not go and make your own decision?
Been in there twice now and it's a nice shop, pretty laidback type of environment and with a great cat.

I was in De Kuil for a while last 420, @ 4:20 (16:20 :-)h

At exactly 4:20 a man who I believe is the owner got everyone's attention quickly, aided by customers tapping on their beverage cups and glasses with their spoons, and asked for a moment of silence for Jack Herer, who had just passed.

It was brilliant, dead silent in there for over a minute, and then on with one's business.

It's super chilled (at least for me), and I normally pick up some Blueberry as my first stop. 420 normally have something nice and are not afraid to tell you what's proper at the moment. It seemed like they had a pretty good run of SSH last year (or was it Lemon Haze, I don't know...).

It did lose some je ne sais quoi when the beer had to be pulled, but still I love a bar seat there.

I truly wish I had managed to make a video of the moment of silence.

Good shop for middle age hippies lol. Really liked the vibe and music this was right up my ally and I celebrated my 35th birthday here March 1. really enjoyed their 420 haze 13e and the red maroc was very nice and only 8.50e. Had the cheapest hot chocolate at 2e tasted very good with cream but small size. I sat at the window which had a cool view of the morning goings ons but the little chairs werent that comfortable, a big coach would be great instead...

Went in here a few times on my last visit, probably one of my favourite places of the trip, always had a good atmosphere with a few people in but not too busy and great tunes.

Didn't think much of the 420 kush but +1 for the red moroc

I FUCKING LOVE THIS CS! my all time favorite shop in the Dam. The atmosphere is perfect, the people who work there are great and the music is on par! Spent a lot of time here last week and sampled the 420 kush which was definitely cheese haha, coincidently enough I talked with one of the workers and they confirmed my suspicions, nonetheless decent smoke! The blueberry was fucking awesome for 8 euros, definitely recommend. I was really looking forward to smoking there NYC Diesel this time around but it looked like outdoor weed, almost, definitely was not was I was expecting but shit thats just how it is in coffeeshops its hit or miss with strains from time to time.

this coffeeshop is one of my top 3 for atmosphere alone. The bud is average at best, with the 420 kush being blue cheese as stated above. Their NY diesel is not NY diesel, as that is what I am working with now at home (the look and smell of real NYC Diesel is unmistakeable). The vibe in this coffeeshop is very laid back and chill which is why we kept coming back to De Kuil.
