I will try this place again to double check but at the moment i really don't get it
I agree if you go to Grey Area for ANY of the following reasons, you WILL be disappointed:

1. Lots of Room
2. Great coffee
3. Drink variety
4. A safe/easy trip to the John

As to the 'dry' weed, I prefer this to moist (i.e. HEAVY) weed, more weed/less water for the euro

^^^ I get what the guy is saying their drinks selection aint great but if the majority of their business is buy n fly then theres no need for a large selection. I do agree that their bud is average at best tries 12 - 15 strains over 2 visits and not one stood out i gave place a miss last 2 trips

Weed here is some of the bes I tiried out of 30-40 shops...Their weed is all top notch, I loved their grey berry which had a great skunky berry taste and nice medium strength indica buzz. I never stayed in the shop as it was always busy. I found most shops in the dam were kinda dusty and grimy, Grey Area is no more grimy than Voyager's for example. For me it's all part of the charm of the dam

It there was one shop that carries itself with a Californian Vibe GA would be it. They concern themselves with quality herbs and not much more. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

The guy who runs this place is super nice. However, the douche bags who stand next to him/behind him, watching him dispense weed are only slightly more annoying than the trainspotters who stand behind a DJ :D Get.A.Life....

Personally I think this place is over hyped, the weed is standard there, but nothing amazing. Plus it's always way too busy, so if I miss it on the odd trip it's no loss for me. However I really wanna try their strawberry sour, and hope it's back for my next trip in june

I called on last Thursday on a buy and fly. Had a quick conversation with tall American guy, about my need for a medicinal strain ( I have v.painful back injury) and a chat about a price of medical equipment I was lugging around with me.
Can't say enough about how nice this guy was.

The "Grey Area Groupes" LOL I love it.

I thought maybe it was just security, but I didn't pay them much mind. The budtender was cool, but when I was handed my half gram of Chocolope one of the groupies made some dumb comment like "chocolope huh? that looks pretty nice what is it?" i was like uhhh sativa...turned the menu and pointed out the canalope x choclate thai mix...like it said right there. Was this supposed to be a compliment on my choice of bud? Was someone who is allowed to stand (kinda) behind the counter really that obtuse that he doesn't know what buds are for sale?

I also ordered a Coke, and one of the groupies handed it to me. A table managed to open up, so I rolled a joint and smoked it there. The budtender never seemed to really acknowledge these groupies much during my short visit. I wonder if its just good customers he doenst have the heart to tell scram or what? I wish we had more insight on who these groupies are and why they decide to stand there for no apparent reason. I don't think they were even smoking.
