Zaanse schans
Does any one know how to get there by bike from Amsterdam? I read that the route lf 7a connects Maastricht to Alkmaar but I didn't find where to take the route from the dam. Thanks in advance for any suggestion

Like Dr Green said take the ferry behind centraal to amsterdam noord, then follow signs to Zanstaad, then pick up the signs for zaanse schans. Coming backs easier just follow the signs to amsterdam and hope that the ferry/bridge thing's operating otherwise you've got a 5k detour! (like happened to us last week in the high winds
)
It's a nice ride if it's not windy, if it is it can get a bit arduous.

@colino - didn't check the route or use it myself just one I've got. It's pretty easy to find, just keep heading north
