Thanks again, everyone, for the great company. Ohm, Tutti, Winnie, Gapie, Paride (hope that's right, A), 2Rolling and her Mr, Beachbud, PiedPiper, Hasj, and anyone else I was too mashed to remember, it was a pleasure chilling with all of you.

I will be telling stories, but this week is mad busy, so I'll start with the weed. If I don't get a chance to catch up with you right away, please be patient, I will get around to it in good stoner time.

Voyager's Amnesia Haze
Image

So resinous it almost seemed wet, but the stem gave a nice, crisp satisfying snap. The aroma was an overwhelming lime candy with hints of winey grape and an assertive haze candy perfume. Had to keep licking my fingers in order to get the joint rolled.

Sweet full sour lime candy flavor with a strong almost mentholated eucalyptus finish. I immediately felt the hard slam from a mega dose of thc. Elevating, but strong enough that can easily push you past super high into smashed. Floaty, creative, a wee bit of visual brightening, and energetic just starting to edge towards racy.

Voyagers is a great shop with great people. So close to the train station, it is now my first stop for a few trips running. With the facelift and nice seating it's even become a fun place to chill. Nice work, HB and crew.

Great smokes all around this trip. Didn't make it a ton of places, but smoked a lot of cool stuff. Coming up in the report: Solo, Bluebird, 1e Hulp, Paradox, Voyagers, Bagheera, and Basjoe's. Lots of Basjoe's, as always.

I'm such a tease, as I know I told you that you would be hearing about the OG18 next, but instead:

Solo's Nepalese Temple Ball
Image

This shop was right around the corner for me, and it drew me in as I headed towards my evening T&T Saturday night. I asked after black hash recommendations, and the nice gentleman tender showed me the Afghan, which was a good deal, and the Nepalese Temple Ball. The Afghan looked nice, but the Temple Ball looked great. So pliable it almost looks oily, developing a beautiful inky sheen every time it sits wrapped for more than a few minutes. When you begin to warm some if it in your hands the most amazing sandalwood and warm spice aroma quickly fills your nostrils. In the warm summer night it became a rich fudge texture on the table, making rolling it a breeze.

The flavor was woodsy, clove and black pepper with a pronounced licorice flavor that lasted and lasted. The high was incredible. Quiet, soaring, almost stoney in its absolute peacefulness. Then I would realize I'd been sitting, thinking and unmoving, for an hour. Great introspective hash. Sets you soaring while keeping your brain awake and playing. So clean that it's smooth in the throat and lungs.

I came back the next morning for more, then I came right here to tell ya'll. 13.50/g 12.20g for 5 gs.

Solo's Chocolope Haze
Looking at the weed on Solo's menu, I noticed 9 "Hazes" :o And a few low-end indicas. I told the bud-tender that I was a bit hazed-out, and did he have anything different, that was little stonier and "indica-ish." He indicated that the White Widow was only ok.

"How about indica- adjacent? Or at least really pretty."

"The Chocolope Haze is about 70/30 indica to sativa." He opened up a tub with glistening nugs and a lightly sweet tootsie-roll and port aroma wafted up. "See, the nugs are tighter."

I'll have a gram of that too. Pleasant lightly sweet chocolate flavor, with only a hint of hazy candy flavors. This was definitely some sort of Chocolope/Haze hybrid, not just chocolope being re-marketed, which I always wondered about. Pleasant, balanced effects. Not the most distinctive, but it did cut through the heavy indica buzz I was working on with Gapie and Paride. Clean and smooth. Not a standout, but for chocolope fans it's nice. If you have a week to throw it in a jar and forget about it I suspect it will taste absolutely top-shelf (10e/g).

Thanks guys for the nice words! Busy again today (that's why I started early so I could get some more reporting out.) Hopefully I'll get a chance for another round at lunch.

AP- thanks, my nose is actually really small, but mighty  As I've mentioned, I'm a serious cook and foodie, so the way the weed tastes and smells is a huge part of the fun for me.

Three weeks until I leave for the 'dam again, with my Mr, for a long trip this time. Bliss!

Busy now, but I couldn't resist stopping by and teasing you some more!

I'm such an Amnesia Haze monkey, and James' Amnesia Haze was so pretty, I couldn't stop taking pictures of it.

Did I tell you how sticky it was? Maybe I forgot to mention, but this just oozed with resin.

Ok, so I think I've teased you enough about the Amnesia Haze at Basjoe's, but in an attempt to better communicate how fine it is, I'm going to tell a little story.

Leaving Voyagers I made a halfhearted attempt to convince myself to head across town to meet Ohm and Tutti, who had been kind enough to hold the keys to my place for me, as my friend had left town earlier in the week.

But I could not make my feet turn back towards central station to get on a tram. I just got here! It was sunny and warm, and so I headed right instead, down the canal, soaking in the beautiful day. Everything was glowing from the huge Amnesia Haze I smoked at Voyagers, and I could barely feel my feet. Just as I started to feel the beginnings of hunger I reached Nieumarkt, where there were market stalls and food venders on this fine Saturday afternoon. My nose pulled me straight to a nice man selling fresh corn on the cob for 1.75.

Slathered in butter.

In the afternoon sun, watching people stroll around the square.

Bliss.

Refreshed, I again made a weak attempt to talk myself into going for the keys, but my better half got the better of me, and I phoned Ohm instead, making sure that it wouldn't inconvenience them if I were a bit later...

In the merest moment I saw that beautiful blue sign peeking out the corner. The biggest smile ever broke out across my face as James caught my eye. Three steps later I was at the bar.

"Amy, welcome home," he purred. "When did you get in?" His warm arms embraced me, and I finally felt home.

"Just now, my plane landed at 1:30. I came straight here." I was still warm and breathless from my mad rush down the canal.

"Straight here, jaaaa?" said my very perceptive darling as he raised an eyebrow.

"Well" I laughed. "I had to stop to get stoned first, of course. You're too far, and I'm too impatient." I took a deep breath and slowly exhaled as he squeezed my shoulder. "But then I had to come here to get right."

And that's where the story ends, for now.

Basjoe's Amnesia Haze
Image

I sat down at the bar as James pulled me a spa red from the cooler. "What would you like?"

"Two grams of whatever you think is best right now." James got a lovely little smile in his eyes as he went looking though his drawers. Before I blinked he passed me a bag with the most beautiful nug I had seen in awhile.

I took a smell, and the most luscious wave of sour grapes, coriander seed, and balanced sweet haze smell washed over me. My mouth started watering. I borrowed a grinder to roll about 2/3 a gram into a fat joint, but after I got the weed onto the paper, my fingers were so sticky I tried to lick them off.

But they were still sticky.

So I licked them again, scraping them on my teeth. Yum. Sweet and fruity.

But they were still sticky.

So I licked them again, and rubbed them on my jeans.

Honestly, they were still sticky, but I just powered through it and had that bad boy rolled up and lit in a jiffy.

The first hit almost took my head off. My whole body got warm and heavy my head took off for the clouds. As I exhaled the tart, powdery sour grape candy taste filled my ballooning head. I set down the joint and reached into my bag for a hair clip, losing my train of thought. Just as I sat back up, James set a latte down in front of me.

"Home." I said, with a big smile, reaching for the sugar.

"Jaaa..."

Solo's Temple Ball Hash
Image

I toked and talked canal-side at Basjoe's for almost four hours, but you'll have to be patient to hear about all of that, dear readers.

On impulse I swung into Bagheera, hoping to further flesh out my indica stash, as great haze is everywhere right now, but I was looking for some more thump. The vibe was nice inside, at around midnight on a Saturday nice. The menu was almost all !HIGH! strains, but the Kushdee caught my eye. The bud-tenders eyes lit up, always a good sign, and he put a lovely tub of funky limey buds in front of me. At first, I was a bit shocked by the assertive fruitiness, but smelling further I caught undertones of stink rather than sweet candy. That sold me, and I ordered up a gram.

Bagheera's Kushdee
Image

"Be careful, that's so sticky, that it really is not good in the grinder." Says the gentleman budtender. "Break it up with your hands." I thanked him, and left him the last euro for a tip, which really brightened his smile. He reached over and passed me a pack of papers, which brightened my smile too.

I could barely wait until I got back to the apartment, where I promptly rolled some of the kushdee with a small rope of the temple ball. My god, I soared around for the next hour, barely tethered to earth. Peaceful and relaxed I got some serious thinking done. It was marvelous.

Bagheera's Kushdee

Lime, coriander(seed), fennel. Sweet, subtle full spicy finish, smooth. Not much funkiness, a little puppy breath at the very end of the finish. But the sour spicy fruit flavor is quite distinct from the pervasive perfumed haze candy that's so hot right now. (14e/g) Nice up stone, droopy visual, creeps on you, expansive and peaceful.
