cheers folks- regarding the vaporizer, we do not currently have one although it is certainly one of the things on the list to get when funds become available.

This gives us a good opportunity to throw the ball back into your court with a question for you guys.

I figure with the vapes, you have a choice between the Volcano or the Verdamper and both have their merits and I'd be happy to have either.

As it won't be me smoking it too much I'll ask you guys which you would prefer and why, or perhaps there are other vapes on the market you'd like to recommend.
I'd be interested to see your thoughts on this.

Mr Z, I would recommand the Extreme Q Vaporizer from the canadian brand Arizer. It's well manufactured and very safe. I have one, it gives me total satisfaction.

Hi Nel

In the Cannabis College I always migrate towards the Verdamper. The hits are superior to the Volcano and I like the cooling aspect of the bong. On a downside, they look pretty fragile in places but the lack of bags and (expensive) extra parts would out-weigh that problem in coffeeshop use, I'm sure.

Not against the Volcano tho, they are both giants in the vapor world. Just that I know Mellow Yellow had a problem with the parts going missing (often stolen, sadly). Bluebird has a policy of a 10€ deposit for the bag, which I'm more than happy to do, knowing how much that kit costs!

The makers of Volcano have just released the 'Plenty Vaporizer', not sure about the tool-shed looks but it at least eliminates the bag issue and it's cheaper. (Next Monday they will road-test the Plenty on dopefiend.co.uk, a very pro-vape community).

IMO Verdamper is more for the single person so you might need a couple, Volcs are cheap, you will get away with the one so saving cash.

Myself Vapes are overated equal to sucking the gas out of fizzy pop , some nice glass will do, everyone smiles at a nice bong or two.

I would also suggest the arizer extreme Q, had one for a while now and they are robust and efficient, volcanos are not cheap, but a second hand one in good nick would be ok.

I own an arizer extreme q and as much as I love it, I don't think it's robust enough for shop use, volcanos are very nice easy to use but I think the verdamper is just that little bit more special, a lot of people own volcanos but not verdampers, when I'm in Amsterdam I always seek out a shop with one(usually Katsu) because I think it's a great way to vape.

Hey thanks for that but for me i dont need to save on weed consuption, Health benefits pffff, unless all you have smoked through all your toking life is a Vape then you are getting little benefit and being born and growing up in the days of lead petrol and working in factories before Health and saftey really came in the last thing on my mind is health benefits of a vape. Socially engaging effect means mellow as fuck and a waste of time or i am a lightweight and dont want to look a nob infront of my mates having a whitey off a bong.
Vapes are ideal for Med users who need to get the medicine in safely, me i am a stoner by choice, i have no health problems so my use of weed is soley to get as fucked out my head as possible, Vapes are so far away from where i wanna be.

Now the OP posted asking for any input, i gave mine, if he wanted just Dr kushys input he would have sent you a P.M, you will find a vape thread on here someplace go over to that and broadcast you Healthy smoking regime coz tbh i dont give a S#*!

You are absolutely right Kermit. Apologies, I didn't mean to hi-jack this thread with a debate on the merits of vaping, just felt I'd throw my own positive thoughts in the ring after your fizzy pop gas!

Doesn't sound like smoking is doing much for your anger management tho - have a few bags of vape mate

nel z bub, another vote for the verdamper here. I tend to prefer smoking cones in Amsterdam but it's always fun to have one Verdamper session during a visit.

I too am looking forward to trying this shop out in just two weeks!

I would say Verdampers if you can get more than one. From the photo I saw in Moogles trip report it looks like you have a few tables they could sit on. It is more of a one or two person gig. I know I seek them out as my lady prefers a vape and I like how you can load it up and puff at your leisure.

But if you can't afford a bunch of them then the volcano would be the ticket with a few extra attachments so you can have more than one group using it at a time. They can fill a bag and sit down while someone else fills. I think it is a good thing to have in a coffeeshop as a lot of people don't have them so like to try them out when they can. It is a great way to get the taste of the bud too.

I agree though that a few bongs are essential too. I love to smoke and even after a solid vape session I will rip a bong or smoke a joint to get to where I really wanna be. Just seems to lack the full effect if I only vape. Just used to so many years of just smoking it is what my body and mind is accustomed too. That said I will still look for a shop with a vape so I can fuck around with the flavours and mixes etc.

As far as Arizer is concerned, they are great vapes but I dont think suited to a coffeeshop. Most people have seen or get the hang of the volcano quickly as they are in a bunch of shops. They are a pretty solid unit and a lower profile so harder for the stoned noobs to break or knock over. The Arizer also contains glass.

So after all that I reckon a vape/s is a good idea. You said you have a few Roors so that would be all you need to be totally equipped for any occasion. I look forward to visiting in under 2 weeks. (Quick get a vape) haha.

nel, based on the size of your shop and the size of the arizer i would recommend a volcano.

i own an arizer and it's a great machine, but the remote can be cumbersome, and I imagine troublesome in a cs environment.

I own an Arizer and thoroughly enjoy it in a home setting but agree with the majority that it probably ain't suited to a CS environment
