it fills up.... i went several times on my trip always fairly full but i was able to find a seat and make my way to a good seat eventually.

how crowded will the leidesplein rookerij get after work on fridays (say, 5:30ish)?

It's a large shop, with lots of seating. I like the tables in the back corners. Remove your hat before you go in. Or they will remove it themselves. When I asked them what the reason for this, they said hats block a face from the security cams. !?!? Other than this, they have good shops. Especially the one mentioned.

Great, typical coffeeshop ambience . Get to the back where the DJ and the slow moving fans are, really chilled.

We were there between 5 & 7 last Friday and it was busy but not crowded. Mixture of locals and tourists.

last friday i visited the rokerij II for the first time in my short life

and from the moment i stepped in i liked the atmosphere in the shop

the have good weed (i bought their white shark bio)

the people are friendly and its really worth another visit

especially because its the touristtrap the bulldog is located next to it

I went to Rokerij III on Amstel and thought it was OK, nothing really special, just a simple (small) room with simply stools and a bar.

Friendly staff as expected. would stop in on my next visit, nothing negative to say, just not all praise.

Also stopped in Rokerij IV on Elandsgracht, Cool place, nice friendly dealer who cut me a 0.5g deal on my last day. Good smoke (Rokerij Super Haze €4.75, gave hime €5). Nice effect whith the wall tiles and the concealed toilets.

Will definately pop back in on next visit.

Rokerij II on Singel located right right near Centraal Station. I visited last year around October time, The first shop I ever went to in Amsterdam. The dealer was cool and I ended up purchasing a gram of christmas pollen (which was very nice, exactly what you look for in imported moroccan hash) and a gram of Jamaican Sweetness, quite impressed with this aswell, very few stems and seeds for outdoor weed. I was also given a free pack of skins and roaches, which was nice. On my second visit there was a different dealer who was a bit of a c*nt in my opinion. still worth a stop, menu seems to have changed alot since first visit.

On our last visit to the dam(last month). The one thing i promised myself was to smoke in all of the rokerij.Could not fault any of them the menus are roughly the same so a good smoke in all, but if i had to pick a favourite it would have to be rokerij 4 on elandsgraght awsome little place good decor and mega chilled out, will definatly visit again top notch shops. We found white shark bio at rokerij 2,best smoke of the trip.

went to rokerij off leidesplein a few times on last trip

the AK 47 at 8 euro a gram was TOP QUALITY, had me grinnin like a goon

Rokerij Leidseplein gets my vote for coffeeshop with the hottest staff, hands down. They have quite a few girls working there too. The place also gets quite lively on weekends. Man, it's gonna suck when coffeeshops are gonna have to choose between selling weed and alcohol. This is one place that's going to suffer as a result.

I loved the place, when i was there in August they had a good deal on some nice AK47, one of my best moments had to be sitting in there on one of the floor cushions, nice joint in hand and listening to Jack Johnson "Constelations" don't think i've ever been that chilled.. ever!

was in it once, i liked the shop tho it was quite packed bought a spacecake wasnt that syrong and some weed.. cant remember what tho, i did really like it.

I always stay near Leidseplein so I always go to the Rokerij for weed. I haven't been very adventurous so far, I've just bought mainly white widow, but it's always been very good- I even whitied from it last time. It was pretty cool actually, I was sitting on a barstool but at one of the tables and I lit one up.

I started to feel a little tingly but nothing big so I kept smoking. Then I just suddenly realized that I didn't know which reality was the real one. Reality kept changing all the time and I was trying really hard to figure out which one was (closest to) normal so I could sit back and chill.

The real trouble was that I was sitting on a barstool and had no back support. I was a bit worried about falling off. Anyway I had bought a LOOZA with my weed so I started drinking it to combat the whitey- but it didn't help so much.

I got the idea that I should go back to my hostel so I got up and grabbed my bag and wandered out into the street. I was all the time having trouble distinguishing reality from trip and this was particularily dangerous (and funny) when I tried to cross the street.

It was raining and the rain felt so cold and good on my face that I looked up as I was walking and swirled around in a little rain dance on the street of my hostel.

When I finally got back to my hostel and into bed I didn't sleep but had the most amazing visions very much like I was tripping. It went on for what seemed like hours and was very enjoyable.

The next morning I went out for wake and bake and the weed had a similar effect though not as strong. The more I smoked the more manageable the effects got. I even ventured out to smoke in Vondelpark and some other coffeshops and didn't whitey again.

And when I went back to Rokerij one evening the only seat was at the bar near the door and it was fairly cool and I must have been shivering because the girl behind the counter gave me a free coffee to warm up. Nice.

On my next visit I want to try out the others in this chain but have previously visited R.3 near Amstel.
The girl behind the bar was very friendly and the decor blew me away.
The budtender was friendly and took plenty of time to show us his wares and make reccomendations. This was possibly the friendliest of all the shops we went in.
Their space muffin was seriously good one of the best I had the whole trip.
On a more envious note I keep reading about people getting Whiteouts on here and tripping off their faces on BLOW!!!!!!
I so wish this would happen to me even when I am asked by budtenders what would you like? I say "something that will get me absolutely shitfaced"...............maybe I smoke so much of it I'm immune to that side of it

I've found myself at this coffeshop quite a few times, having stayed at the Vondelpark hostel on two trips. I think the weed is alright, and the drinks are pricey, but the ambience is nice and relaxing even when they have a dj.
