Last time I was over in April I had exactly the same thing with some temple ball from Dampkring. Presumably from the same batch as yours. The residue on the fingers was more like glue and made it almost impossible to roll a joint with. Admittedly the hash still got me stoned but I got so sick of having this residue on my fingers (it was a bitch to wash off too) I ended up binning it.

Shame cos it's the first bad buy I've had from the Dampkring in about 15 years of visiting Amsterdam. I won't be going there again.

Friends bought:

Chocolate: smells a little bit like cherry in my opinion don´t transfer to the taste.
Super Amnesia haze: think its normal amnesia haze with super in the name for the tourists. smell and taste like amnesia. smoke ok.
La Grinspoon: looks nice smell was not that strong little bit of lemon not that strong. didn´t smoked it.

I've been several times before to this shop, always was possitive.

Yesterday when I went though I ordered 5gr of Bubblegum and got scammed by the small black guy behind the counter ... When I received the baggy I already thought it was a bit little for 5gr but thought the buds might be dense.

When I returned home I weighed the weed and it was only 4.2gr in stead of 5gr ... sorry but I won't be returning there anymore :x

Which Dampkring? The original on Handboogstraat or Dampkring II?

Boerejongens has taken over Tweede Kamer and Dampkring II.

Just made a note to make more notes next trip... fucking stoner memory :D . I purchased at least 2 different Sativas at the original Dampkring. First one was Kali Mist (9€ or 9,50€ ?). Not bad but also not that great. Usually I'm sensitive to Sativas but I didn't feel that much of this one. Not the real deal but still ok smoke. Nothing for hardcore smokers. 6.5 out of 10.

Next time I asked what would be a good choice for a clear high. Sunny boy pointed out Ceres Hilton (14€) - of course he would. Ok what the heck, one gram plz. Not much memory about this one. Not a good sign because the really good ones always gonna make you come back for more. Nice taste but there are much better Sativas in town... 7 out of 10.

edit: I don't like Dampkring anymore. That goes for all of them.

Agree re making notes, something i really need to do.I'm just about to do a quick review of several shops after my long weekend and struggling to remember much of what was smoked.

Anyway,Dampkring does what it does.Class place, class weed and a really nice big range in comfortable and attractive surroundings.Had some C5,was very nice though did seem to clear me up a bit.Had to go back twice before they had any blue cheese worth smoking but it was superb when it came.Gotta love the taste it leaves you with...and isn't weed "fashion" a bit odd?3 or 4 years ago i had to pay €13 a g upwards for some cheese, now it's €9 for a bit as good as i've ever had.

Oh,and 3 times i've seen someone keel off their bar stool in the Dam and every time it was in Dampkring.Donno if that speaks for the weed or the tourist customers it attracts.

Dampkring is definitely 1 of my favourite coffeeshops, every time ive been here the quality of the bud provided was excellent and always nice big nugs. Cant go wrong with the size of their menu either there is always something for someone. During the summer and especially weekends its very hard to get a seat here unless you get there early or wait around for 1 (which could take some time). I wouldn't let that put you off though because this place is definitely worth a visit. Would put this place near the top of the list on my favourite coffeeshops.

Nice big menu, with pretty descent quality, nice interior as well.

That being said, YOU MUST purchase a drink to stay here, regardless of home much gear you buy. Bought 2 grams of grinspoon 1 white chocolope and 1 gram of hash. Once I sat down they were like what do you want to drink, im like no thanks. She says well you must buy a drink or leave, I said I just spent almost 70 euros on herb, she says, sorry, thats the policy. I laughed and said can I atleast roll 1 and leave when its rolled. She says "fine, just dont take forever"...

Like I said not a terrible place if you enjoy nazi laden rule systems but give me a break there are SOOOO many better options in town.
