I like to put at the window with a smoothies. Atmosphere which I like much.
I am stupid, it is true, they do not have the same weeds charts. Moreover the weeds of the greenhouse effect do not leave me a good memory. Simple products but the place and the smoothies are brilliant.

The bar next to the coffee shop has a great local vibe to it. On my many visits Ihave regularly seen the same local faces propping up the bar. It's tatty and run-down joint but in a good way with a nice old-fashioned wooden bar and a big round black and white clock that hangs down the middle of it.
The atmosphere is great at weekends with DJs playing some eclectic old vinyl. The place is small and gets cramped but I invariably made sure I got there early enough to grab a stool at the bar where it's easy to strike up friendly conversations with like minded dope-heads and drunks.
It's one of those places that makes you feel as though you can be who you want to be without anyone making judgements. It can get a bit raucous and loud at times and expect punters to regularly bump into you or shout manically from one of the bar to the other to get somebody's attention. It's all part of the course.
You can basically push things to the limit here. However, if you overstep the mark you'll know about it in quick time. This is a place where the bar staff don't take fools lightly. From my numerous expriences of frequenting this bar, I found that many tourists took the firm but fair attitude of the bar staff as a sign of rudeness. But I see at as people doing their jobs.
Another positive is the bottled beers were good value and you can smoke weed here. That said, I do have some criticisms. I'd advise people to stay in a proper chain-type hotel which I found to be a far better financial deal and better quality than the GreenHouse Effect, the rooms of which were relatively grotty for the money. The breakfast buffet is impressive though.
In my early days visiting the place, the service was more efficient, in that the staff would be more on the ball in terms of their attention to detail - I'm thinking in particular of a Dutch bartender called Dennis, and an English woman callled Ruth who were both very friendly and professional. Both, would ensure, for instance, that the bar was clean and ashtrays emptied regularly.
Sadly, from my experience, this side of things went rapidly down hill on subsequent visits after these people left. I've since had bar staff trying to short-change me on a few ocassions and then pleading innocence. That's something to watch out for.
But overall, a great bar and one that I always visit when I'm in the Dam.

Thanks for this post, I will be staying near the Greenhouse Effect in December and will be looking for places to drink and smoke during our stay. I just hope that I don't have the misfortune to encounter any daft wee cunts like the one talking utter pish on this thread.
