Kashmir Lounge

I went there with a friend on our first day in Amsterdam. We took the number 1 tram from central, however we took the 17 back as it stopped much closer to the coffeeshop than the n.1

Initially we bought 2 pre-rolled mixed tobbaco/EdelWeiss which was simply amazing. I had the best high in my life, and I really loved the pillow smoke room, as well as their music, it joined together to create a beautiful concoction for chilling.

We then went out to eat at a kebab place around the corner, came back and bought 3 more of the same and 1 hash joint to try. The hash was nice, very smooth and minty I still remember the taste, and the weed, well it was still really good (EdelWeiss). I recommend it for anyone who likes to be happy and especially to "Beginners" in that it has very weak side effects, the worst part of the high was a 2 second mini-trip and then smiles all the way.

Other than that prices were very fair, 7.50 /g for Edelweiss (2.30/pre-rolled), nice tea for a couple of euro, etc.

I will definitely be going back to this place, and have decided it was my n.1 priority stop every time I visit Amsterdam, my dutch friend agrees.

Anyone know if it's OK to bring food in here? We were thinking that it'd be fun to go grab some food at Donnerland around the corner (still the best kabob I've ever had) and have it in the lounge. Anyone seen this done?

I have spent many an hour in the Kashmir lounge and I have not seen anyone bring in food, in fact they do their own toasties ect so I guess that they would not be overly impressed when you rocked up with a massive kebab to be honest.

You have to love this place, my favourite place to sit chill smoke my wears and have a beer with my friends, always a friendly welcome and I have met some cool people here. A must visit for any trip, make the effort to get out of centrum

Thanks for the info - just what I needed in order not to make an fool of myself! Yeah, if they do food of any kind, it definitely would NOT be cool. I do love that place...I am looking forward to going back and spending some major chill time there. I've only ever been there during the day, as I suspect it's a little more lively than I'm looking for in the evenings.

I think he was referring to Kashmir Lounge and not Kashmir Coffeeshop which you are referring to.

I think he was referring to Kashmir Lounge and not Kashmir Coffeeshop which you are referring to.

The coffeeshop is the otherside of the road but is really just a buy and fly place, pick up a little then go and chill out on the big comfy cushions in the lounge.

It gets busier around half seven at night so it's good to have your space before then

No wonder it is popular. Just to clarify is Kashmir coffee shop buy and fly or does it have seating and refreshments? Right now I'm leaning quite heavily towards Balou as he has a good track record.

There is definitely seating along the wall across from the budtender unless something has changed in the last few weeks.
