I know that, running out of money wont be an issue, I'd much rather go into the seed shop and have a bit of chat about a few things with the staff though, knowledge gives strength to the buds, I'm sure that's how the saying goes

Ended up buying Caramella from Homegrown Fantaseeds on the guy in the shop's recommendation. The plant looks lovely from the pictures, the guy says it's very easy to grow and we will be most pleased with the results. Has anybody got any experience of this plant? Not so much the growing, but the end product?

Neldo,
If you want to keep your plants small you should try pruning. If done right you can keep them low and extra bushy.
Bending is also good as it keeps the plant profile low too.

Yer thoughts please...

firstly sativas are the hardest to grow and least producers(great smoke none the less)indicas produce more,secondly if your a new grower i would recommend not using hydro system as very hard to keep on top even if your an experienced grower.talking from experiences,not just mine but associates also.
your first question relates to my previous answers,most indica plants are basically child proof to grow and can take a lot of damage and still recover if grown in a medium(soil) ,small squaty plant,dense with good yield.
so my choice would be "pot of gold" mainly indica ,very sweet taste smooth smoke,easy to grow with great yields with a flowering period of 8-10 weeks(depending on your preferience high or heavy stone)
i,ve been growing for several years now and have a list of my favs so hope this helps your choice but i must emphasis if your a first time grower do not use a hydro set up unless your 100% sure of what to do its a real headache at times.(thats my humble opinion)
1.ak-47
2.el nino
3.big bud(heavy buds,need to be supported 3-4wks into flowering or might snap)
4.NORTHERN LIGHTS (probably the easiest to grow and good blo for begginers,)
ps. careful where you get your seeds shady shops in the dam,go to the cannabis college and you will get a discount across the road where i just purchased my latest seed j.herer
